Problem for Alpine iDA-X200 Car CD/ MP3 Player
IPOD is hanging but can't be reset.
I have an Alpine iDA X300. I was playing the IPOD on random play. When I restarted the car the IPOD was hanging: still with the Alpine Icon, the name of the artist and "Ok to disconnect" all displayed in the screen. Now I can't switch the Ipod off or do anything else with it irrespective of whether it's connected to the Alpine Unit.

i would try reformatting your ipod to factory specs (can be easily done with itunes following the information provided at mac.com)
to reset the ipod, turn it off, then on -- then hold down the 'menu' key while pressing the center 'click' key until you get the apple logo. this just may solve the problem.
