Question about Kitchen Ranges
Sometimes the oven makes a noise and then the oven and the display shuts off. Bad circuit board?
You will need to replace the control board (clock) on the unit. Pull the unit away from the wall, unplug it and remove the rear cover on the console to gain access to it. Be sure to take note of where the plugs go! Here is the part to order. It comes with a 365 day, any part, any reason return policy.

sun, first test is to power the unit down. Find the pair of breakers which are generally 40 or more amperes. Turn them both off and back on. If this doesn't fix it, you will probably need a circuit board.

I had a similar problem with my Kenmore and it was the Igniter. Cost me about $85.00 for a new one. Sometime on the back of the range there is a little pocket where sometimes a schematic is there and ( I don't know about your Frigidaire) but with my Kenmore it gave troubleshooting info that was very helpful in determining the problem.

Tips for a great answer:
Hello Marsha Abbey, thanks for your post!
From what you have described your Frigidaire range made a weird noise and shut down. I understand that you have replaced the oven clock and the oven is still not working properly. It is possible that your terminal block or wiring harness has shorted. I would recommend contacting a professional technician to come out and perform a diagnosis and repair on your range. This will help to avoid any unnecessary part purchases. Best of luck! -Matt

Hi - Does any part of the range work? I would recommend verifying that a fuse is not blown or a circuit breaker tripped. Test the power outlet with a lamp, hair dryer, etc. Another questions, does "Loc" appear in the display if any button is pushed? The Oven Lockout feature automatically locks the oven door, prevents the warmer drawer and most oven controls from being turned ON. If so, press and hold CLEAR/OFF for 3 seconds. A beep will sound. LOC will clear. The "DOOR LOCKED" will continue to flash until the oven door has completely unlocked. Do the maintop burners work? Granting that it does, you can try confirming that the shut-off valve on the gas pressure regulator is in the "ON" position (usually located on the back left-hand side of the range). This valve shuts off gas to the oven. If after the basic troubleshooting, you continue to experience the issue I would suggest contacting a certified technician to assist in the full diagnosis and repair of your range.
