Question about Kohler K-15160-7 Coralais single-control pullout spray kitchen sink faucet

1 Answer

Where can I get a new valve cartridge for our Kohler Coralais R15160-CP faucet? It keeps flowing more slowly and I have cleaned all the filters in the pull out head, etc. The dishwasher on the same line does not have a flow problem. Thanks. wsyoung1@verizon.net Wayne Young

Most cartridge's are specific to their faucet and need to be ordered from the manufacturer. Home Depot or another place like that, that carries Kohler plumbing supplies should be able to get one for you and may even have one in stock. Good luck.

SOURCE: Low flow from Kohler K15160 spray kitchen sink

Are you sure the spray handle is allowing the valve to open enough to allow enough water through? The problem it seems like is physical or mechanical. I am assuming you get good water flow through the faucet itself.

SOURCE: My Kohler Coralais faucet is slow on the hot side.

Did you remember to fully open the supply line valve under the sink after reattaching hose? Do you have an older home with worn out or corroding pipes? After replacing my bathroom faucet with a new fixture, I noticed that after a few weeks the hot water handle started operating a little gritty. I removed the handle and found rust particles had come thru the line and started to clog the faucet.

I just installed a Kohler Forte R10412-N-CP. Hot water flow is good. However, very low cold flow. What's wrong

First turn off the shut-off valves and remove the Forte faucet inlet hose from the cold water line. Then put a temporary inlet hose on that shut-off valve. Test how much water flows into a bucket when you open the valve. Assuming that you had good flow from the cold water shut-off valve through the supply hose, a trickle flow on one side suggests the cartridge plunger (mixing valve) or the inlet hose is blocked or damaged. Since this is a new unit, I'd recommend you replace the faucet. The best option may be to take it to the place where it was purchased (depending on the return policy).

I hope this helps and wish that I had better news for you.

Leaking Kohler Vinnata kitchen faucet.

you must use genuine kohler parts,if you got something from lowes or home depot that was some other brand they usually leak. also look for calcium build up inside the valve body, you can use 1500 grit wet sand paper to remove it just be carefull and dont sand too much, then apply water proof plumbers grease inside the valve body befor you install the new cartridge.

Kohler - Coralais Pull-Out Spray Kitchen Faucet

te leak most likely is the cartridge you need to take the handle off and there will be a lock nut under where the handle was, turn the water supply off and remove the nut the cartridge will pull staight out, cartridges can't be repaired they need to be replaced. Watch out because some cartridges cost more than what the tap is worth

Kohler Coralais K 15160 The body has a machined hole in the back, about the diameter of a toothpick. It has begun to leak water when the faucet is turned on, however this occurs once in awhile.

The front of the handle has a plastic button which can be removed with your thumb nail or tooth pick. Once the button is removed use a 1/8 allen wrench to remove the handle. Remove the decretive sleeve to access the top of the valve. Tighten the valve stem nut and reassemble. It the problem persists you may need a new valve or rubber seal. The best thing about Kohler is they offer a lifetime no leak warranty. I personally will buy Kohler faucets and toilets because of the quality and warranty. Delta has some hi end products but the support and warranty policies will make you never want to service a Delta product again. So if the faucet still leaks just call 1-800-456-4537, and they will send you a new faucet or parts.

I had a dripping Kohler Finial kitchen faucet

Any bit of dirt or grit in the line will get caught in the cartridge if not flushed properly.

Sounds like it was installed upside down or the cartridge is installed improperly

Only hot water on my shower faucet

The large screw that you are referring to is a shut off valve to the manifold. If you take a screw driver and turn it counter clockwise, this turns the valve on. Also if you remove the cartridge and shut off the valve to the water heater, and turn the water off at the street and have someone at the tub and another at the street valve, you can turn the valve on slowly to see if you have water flow to the manifold. If you don't have water coming through, then you have to call a plumber out. If you do, turn the water off at the street and replace the cartridge and turn the water back on and try again. If you still don't have water and the stop valve to the right is on, then there is something wrong with the cartridge. Make sure that the cartridge is not install upside down as well. Sometimes it's impossible to install upside down but I thought I would cover this just in case. When all else fails, call Kohler they have an 800 number for tech support and also a lifetime warranty on their faucets. Hope this answers your question.

Pressure problem with Kohler shower faucet??

Hi pglaw,

My best guess is the supply valve for the hot side isn't open all the way. This valve is right on the valve and is accessed by taking off the front cover plate. This would still allow the pressure balancing valve to let water through but then you would have a small flow on the hot side.

If this isn't it then then cartridge is bad.

Please rate this response and good Luck,, phil
