Question about Beckett Corporation Beckett W3500 7114310 Large Pond Waterfall Pump

Open Question

I have a Beckett W3500, and it seems to be blocked. I hear a buzz when the power is on, but it is not pumping water. Is there something I can check before having to go and buy another pump?

SOURCE: Pond pump trips circuit breaker

The circuit breaker trips because there is an electrical short in the pump itself or in the wire feeding the pump. A cause of this could be a bare wire, or a crack in a wire. Remove the pump and put it in a five gallon pail of water and test it. If it still trips the breaker you will know the problem is in the pump or the cord to the pump.

Hmms but won't pump

Hi, by what you have said I believe that the pump is stuck and firstly dont leave it on it will be seriously damaged. I recommend that you remove the cover to access the impellor. If this is to difficult you should be able to insert say a screw driver to try to move the impellor. Obviously before doing anything disconnect the power to the pump. You will probably find some crud in the impellor housing stopping the pump from turning.
Hope that helps
Steve

I have an oil burner that is leaking. how can i determine if it is oil pump or something else?

Do you see oil or water? If oil then the pump seal is broken and you need oil Tec to change the pump.

Our Indesit dishwasher D1620 is not draining at the end of the programme. I have checked the hose its not kinked and there is nothing blocking the drain point. Any ideas what we can do?

Hello,
When you put the dishwasher on for a new cycle you should hear the drain pump operating for a short while before it allows any water to enter the machine. If all you can hear is a buzzing noise then it is probable that something is stuck in the drain pump or the pump is faulty. If this is the case then you will need to access the drain pump through the removal of the side panel.

Hope this helped.
