SOURCE: Replace Fuser Reset

For the MFC 8860, I turned off the printer. I help down menu. I turned on the computer. It entered Maintenance mode. I typed in 88 (Parts Replacement.) I scrolled to the fuser, clicked ok. Then, I turned off the printer. When I turned the printer on, it said that I needed to replace my laser. I then turned the printer off, help down menu, turned the printer on, typed in 88 at the maintenance menu (parts replacement), scrolled down to laser, and hit ok. I then turned the printer on and off, and poof, now it works. I find it quite unscrupulous that I had a replace PF Kit1, replace Fuser, and replace laser messages all within one hour...

Fuser jam.code E00070000

Hi,

You have to change the fixing film or the fuser unit which ever is the cheapest but before you do check the counters to see the the fuser has done its copy life.

When you do change the fuser dont forget to reset the error code in service mode of else the code will appear even when you replaced the unit.

You do this by entering in service mode and select
Press the key face key, ‘2’ and ‘8’ at the
same time, and the face key once again. then
COPIER>FUNCTION>CLEAR>ERR.
