Since changing internet provider - wireless broadband, my printer will copy, but will not print from computer or scan. I am picking I need to download new drivers but cannot find Canon MG4160 drivers compatible with Mac v 10.8.5. I would appreciate help as am studying and need my scanner working! Thanks in advance. uninstall the printer driver then connect it with computer if computer detect the printer then install it and print the documents.
if computer not detect the printer then connection media like USB cable or wireless connectivity setting

first you confirm scanning is working or not if it is working fine there is no issue with printer, if it is not working problem found with scanner assay you need to contact hp service center....

Check settings from computer, try to send command from computer to scan and copy. May have to plug usb cable in to access all settings unless it's wireless only.

If you have done it properly there is no need to bridge networks because there should only be one. If your printer was connected wireless to your system prior to changing internet provider, you may need to reset your printer's wireless network adapter first and then reconfigure it to reconnect to your new wireless network.

what OS are you running on? win XP ? Vista? or win 7 ? or Mac?

its a printer driver issue for me..

I think you need to reinstall your printer driver again..
first you need to uninstall existing printer driver ..and restart your computer ...and then reinstall you printer driver..

why you need to reinstall?

because the printing application for the printer has been corrupt or missing..only the copy and scan application is running properly..

that's why it only scan and copy..but not print some document..

hi,

if you had the printer before using the USB cable. then you changed it to wireless, try the ff:

1. re-insert the CD the came with the box, the cd that you used to install the printer Software to your computer.
2. after inserting the cd, it will give you option "add a device".
3. click on that to install the printer driver for WIRELESS.

note: the reason why you cant print, is mainly because the printer driver you have is still for USB connection. so inorder for you to be able to print, you need to install a printer DRIVER for wireless... That should WORK..
