It's very typical of these mice. check to see if the little eye is clean and free from dust and crumbs. think of a dirty CD player. I have a logitech LS1 mouse that this happens sometimes to. also see if the drivers need updated at support.logitech.com it should re direct you to the support page.

Hi,
a 6ya expert can help you resolve that issue over the phone in a minute or two.
best thing about this new service is that you are never placed on hold and get to talk to real repairmen in the US.
the service is completely free and covers almost anything you can think of (from cars to computers, handyman, and even drones).
click here to download the app (for users in the US for now) and get all the help you need.
goodluck!

Click the Windows "Start" button or press the "Windows" key. The "Start" menu opens. Type "Cursor blink" in the "Search programs and file" text box. A list opens. Click "Change Cursor Blink Rate." The "Keyboard Properties" window opens. Click the "Speed" tab. A list of options appears. The "Cursor Blink Rate" section shows a "Cursor Blink Rate" slider displaying a range from "None" to "Fast." Click and drag the slider button to the "None" area in the far left portion of the "Cursor Blink Rate" scale. Click "Apply." Click "OK." The cursor stops flickering on the screen.

Possibly. Run Microsoft Essentials the free antivirus programme that appears to work and is free.

On my CF-51 the touchpad is erratic and occasionally the screen cursor will jump. The OS is Windows XP. Everything else works perfectly.

I had similar issues with cursor jumping even while using a mouse.

Very simple & quick fix is to simply "disable" touch pad through "start up" mode use a mouse.
You have to disable in start up menu or pad will re-enable itself next time you boot.

I never liked a mouse before being forced to use it .... now it's not so bad.

Not sure if this is the problem, but when I use laptops, my arm occasionally moves over the touch mouse pad and causes it to select another area of the screen.

Jumping cursor while using editor programs under windows xp

Does this happen with a text editor (notepad, word etc) or with on-line pages?

What OS are you using (XP, Vista, Win7)?

If it's a laptop, are you sure you're not hitting the touch-pad by accident?

My pen cursor jumps all over the place

You may have an issue with the Graphire pen. Try plugging the tablet into another computer and see if the pen does the same thing there. If it behaves the same way on another computer then you need a new pen from Wacom.
