- Sorry - i gave specs on the Amplifier in the title - 401S

Your 40idsm is as follows:

160W x 1 @ 4ohm

CLICK HERE for the manual

Hook it up the same way.

Looking at the amp terminals Left outside + to positive on sub
Right outside - to - on sub.

Sorry for the mixup.
(wiring diagram on page 17 of the manual)
