SOURCE: Removal of door panel/trim

You'll need to remove screws that are by the door handle, arm rest, under door and side of door and then gently pull back on the panel as there will also be retaining clips attached and you don't want to break them. If needed, you can pull back the weather seal (can't reuse it, but it's not that important) and you will be able to access everything inside the door

SOURCE: kitchenaid dishwasher, control panel is not

I don't know your technical ability, but there is a fuse located next to the control board inside the console, this is a good place to start. Kitchen Aid is good about putting tech sheets on the back of the kickplate and it should have wiring and diagnostic info there. Just be sure to put the sheets back so the next service tech to work on it will have them :)

SOURCE: X5 Door Panel Removal

there are 4 torx T-15 screws, one in the rear map pocket, one under the air bag logo plastic clip, one under the wood trim (pry the trim off carefully), and one holding the door handle assembly (also revealed when you remove the wood burl cover). Pick up a pry tool at autozone, about 5 bucks to pry the clips out without breaking

SOURCE: driver side door panel removal

Generic instructions to remove door panels:

1. Remove the screw(s) in the trim behind the door release handle and remove the trim.
2. Look for the screws in the arm rest and remove. Remove the arm rest.
3. Look for other screws (possibly under caps) and remove them.
4. Insert a wide flat blade between the door panel and the door. Find the plastic tabs which hold the panel to the door and gently pry the panel away from the door. Make sure you work as close to these plastic tabs as possible to avoid ripping the panel.
5. Work your way around the door prying the tabs out of the door.
6. When everything is free, gently lift the door panel straight up and out of the door.
7. Disconnect the electrical wires, and you are done.
8. There is a vapor barrier between the door and panel which must be gently peeled out of the way in order for you to gain access to the window and door latch mechanisms.

How do I remove door on KitchenAid microwave YKHMS2050SS-2 in order to replace the CTRL-ELEC control card inside the door?

The support page for YKHMS2050 series microwaves is here. There you can find your owner's manual, installation instructions, and exploded views with parts lists. It will help with disassembly. You can affordably order Kitchenaid parts from the Pros here.

Actually, I can probably repair your board for half or less than the cost of a new one. But it depends on your detailed symptoms. See my signature link below to e-mail me for full information or other free help.

Kitchenaide dishwasher KUDS25SHBS1

I have listed COMMON problems / reasons why a dishwasher won't start..
The thermal fuse might have blown. The thermal fuse helps to prevent damage to the dishwasher by turning off power so that it doesn't overheat. Once blown, the thermal fuse will have to be replaced for the dishwasher to work. The thermal fuse is usually located in the control panel on the control board or mounted to the bottom of the tank behind the lower panel. The thermal fuse can be checked for continuity.
The door switch, or switches, are sometimes called interlock switches. The door switch prevents the dishwasher from running while the door is open. If the dishwasher won't start, the switch or switches might be defective. To access the door switches, remove the control panel or inside door panel - depending on the model. They can be tested for continuity.
If the dishwasher does not start, the door latch assembly might be defective. These are normally made of plastic and cannot be repaired. If the door won't latch and the door latch is broken, replace it.
The main control board provides power to nearly every component of the dishwasher. If the dishwasher won't start the main control board might be defective. You should first check for more common parts. Many times control boards are replaced unnecessarily because the problem was not diagnosed properly.

Usually the top vent front panel is held in by two screws and or clips, Get those off and the bottom of this peace should un hook, unless there are screws there also. if you can get this far, the rest will be obvious.

Need to replace door handle for Kitchenaid over-the-range microwave, Model: KHMS2050SSS - 0

You usually get better search results by leaving off any dashes or spaces in a model number.
Normally you have to separate the door panels (as shown in the photo) and then you'll see the previously hidden screw(s) you need to remove.
Or you can watch a YouTube video (not a video I made) that demonstrates how it's done.

In some cases, you then have to gently rotate the handle to unlock it.

You can find helpful literature and exploded view diagrams with part numbers here and you can order parts from the Pros here.

How do you take off a microwave door and put a new one on?

KHMS155LSS0 - May 27, 2017

On many models you can open the door all the way and gently lift it off.

Otherwise, you have to do some disassembly.

The support page for your model, with manuals, is here.

I have a Kitchenaid Dishwasher that the two panel lights labeled 'normal' and 'cancel' are blinking and it is will not run. Anyone have any ideas? .

Hi,
That is a problem with the communication between the control board and the control panel...
Kill all power to the DW...
Remove the back of the door...
Then find the ribbon cable going from the control board to the control panel...clean the ends with alcohol...
Then try it again...if it still does it then replace the ribbon cable and the control panel...

Buy the parts from www.repairclinic.com they have a 365 day return policy so you can return any parts if they prove not to be the problem...click here..

Hi,
The control goes in the door...it is easy to get to.
Just take the screws out of the inside panel of the door, they are around the outside edge of the interior of the door. The panel will then lift off and the control will be near the top on the inside.
Make sure the power is turned off to the dishwasher and then one by one remove the wires from the old board and place them on the new board. then remove the old board and fasten in the new one. replace the panel and then give it a trial run.
Everything should be working just fine but some of the timing will be a bit different.

Just stopped and no power, breaker is fine

There is a thermal fuse (also known as a bi-metal) located inside the control panel of the dishwasher. The part number for the thermal fuse replacement is W10258275.

If you type in your model number you can utilize the exploded view parts diagrams at pcappliancerepair.com, appliancepartspros.com or searspartdirect.com to assist you in locating the part. The fuse is listed as item 6 under the "Control Panel Parts" section.

To replace the fuse, follow these steps:

1. Make sure the dishwasher is unplugged or the breaker is turned off.

2. Open the door and remove only the top screws directly behind the control panel.

3. Remove the protective cover from back of the control panel to expose the main control board.

The thermal fuse should be mounted to the control board. If you remove it and take a resistance check, it should read close to 0 ohms, if good. If bad, replace as necessary.

If you have any questions about this repair, or require additional assistance, please let me know. I hope this helps you.
