Usually means you have got something caught in the beater bar, and you will want to clear it before continuing. If you pick up some carpet string or a large rag you can dislodge the beater bar and even break your belt. You might like to post a picture and a model number to get real help..:)

Is it a power failure or is the TNPA5335 board faulty?

As there is LED blinks, the power board is funtioning; and 5V rail is OK. The start-up voltage, that have to come from the main board doesn't. Check for the reason. If you wish to get some details; check the site linked here. Viewing it in "Mosaic" or "Magazine" will make surf easy. Pull up older posts. Surf the site with patience. Do a search by type in the brand name of your device at its search box and press "Enter".

In most cases, the main board might have to be replaced. If so, a firmware update too might be necessary.

What's the "Service" LED for

Page 6 of the manual states,
"The Service LED is a red light

that comes on when service

is required. Please call an

Aerus location to perform a

service check on the CentraLux

(including the hose, wand and
power nozzle system)."

If a rep comes to your home, there's no charge.
If you've misplaced the manual, you can download one at the following site.

I was wondering if there is a way to change the light bulb for the display numbers etc..?

hi,

yes there is. the bulb used in most display are LED's.
you can purchase the same size LED's as your unit.
you can also even change its light color. Now leds comes in many color from white, blue, lavander, red, green etc... Also it comes into many sizes.

You need some soldering experience to change the LEDs.

Hope I answered your question and don't forget to rate me.
Thank you for using FixYa!

I HAVE A BISSELL PROHEAT CARPET CLEANER AND WAS WONDERING IF THERE IS AN ATTACHMENT TO CLEAN TILE FLOORS. THANK YOU BONNIE UPDYKE

you should check the website of the manufacturer, be carefull as the grout between the tiles is the weakest link to keeping your floors solid...you may damage or fade the color of u'r grout if it is not protected...and if it is protected and has been sealed with a protectant, then you may be removing the sealant with the extreme hot steam from the carpet cleaner.

Non-working Electrolux Centralux vacuum system

Is there a small LED light illuminated where the low voltage wires connect to the main unit? There may be a small rubber boot covering the connection and the light. Just slide it back, and there should be a green LED light if the unit has power. If the LED is not on, there is no power to the unit (tripped breaker, plug came loose from electrical outlet, etc.) If LED is illuminated, short across the pins where the low voltage wires connect to the main unit. (These will be small 18-22 gauge wires, not the larger electrical cable!) You can do this with a coin. (Don't worry, it's just 24 volts and you won't even feel it) The unit should come on. If it doesn't, and you have light from the LED, then it's probably the relay on the board inside the unit, or the motor. Good Luck!

I robot discovery

I have takin several Roombas apart with this problem. Basically the sensors on the bumber are blocked so the roomba thinks it is hitting something. I believe this is a design problem because it is so common. If you could see how the bumbers work, there is an infrared sending unit and an infrared receiving unit (they look like little LED's. when the bumper is pressed, a plastic piece moves between the two infrared led's blocking the transmission. This signals roomba to stop and backup. What happens over time is the sending led thing gets dislodged and moves slightly. The receiving led can't sense the signal so it thinks the bumper is depressed.

Hard to explain, but I have fixed the problem by shimming the led back in place and worst case, I drilled the hole in the plastic piece a little larger. Solved the problem and I have recaimed several roombas that were considered scrap. Irobot should fess up to this known problem and issue a fix for everyone of the defective units.
