What led Harburg to write the song, "Brother, Can You Spare a Dime?"

From shmoop.com:

-- In 1929, the average unemployment in the U.S. hovered at around 3.2%. In 1930, after an unprecedented stock market crash devastated the U.S. economy, the average unemployment was 8.9%. By 1932, when Bing Crosby's version of "Brother, Can You Spare A Dime?" was released, the unemployment had soared to 24.1%. The height of the Great Depression had arrived, and unfortunately, it was still just the beginning.

"Brother, Can You Spare A Dime?" was composed for a 1931 Broadway musical called New Americana, and originally performed by a man playing the part of a sort of American "everyman." According to lyricist E.Y. "Yip" Harburg (who later penned "Somewhere Over the Rainbow"), the song was meant to capture the confused feeling of the times: "He's bewildered. Here is a man who had built his faith and hope in this country," he says of the character. "Then came the crash. Now he can't accept the fact that the bubble has burst. He still believes. He still has faith. He just doesn't understand what could have happened to make everything go so wrong." -- http://www.shmoop.com/brother-can-you-spare-dime/meaning.html

I hope this helps.

What does" there are no issues pending in your claim" means in unemployment terms

Means there is no problems, everything with your claim is going through fine. generally means you just need to wait and all will be good. if There is am Issue you have to fix that issue before your next check or there will be delays.

Hi,

I am confused as to what issue you are having, this unit is a micro combo and which unit are you having issues with? Micro has a handle for a door release and oven has a pull door handle. Please get back to me with more information so I can assist you.
Also Model number is KEMS376 ------- starts with S or T

How to hook up 18"

Hello!
SO I am going to give you more of a signal layout from the turntables (or whatever you use to DJ) to the speakers.
Turn tables-> Mixer-> Eq-> Amp-> Sub and other speakers.
The part that I am not understanding is why do you need the QSC amp if you have a powered sub? The powered part of that means that there is a built in amp, which eliminates the need for the QSC amp unless you are sending that sound to main (non sub) speakers.
Hope that helps!
