To wake it up,first try just quickly pressing the power switch on front. If worse comes to worse, just turn it off by holding the power button in until the pc shuts down & simply power it back on. Then you'll be able to get into windows & make the proper adjustments for the power settings you want & be able to configure the keyboard to put the pc to sleep or wake it. The above link is straight from hp,reguarding the same issue. I gave it to you for reference.

SOURCE: my HP desktop computer wont turn on, green light flashing in the back?

The green light flashing may indicate a damaged power source .. I suggest to check it or use another one just to see if the system boots up ..and after that order a new one only after you are sure this is the cause....when it plays dead .. the causes can be from the cpu .. or the cpu fan not working and this will keep it from boot .. or the motherboard itself .. even the ram memory must be checked but usually it starts and restarts in a loop when the ram is faulty .. and in other cases may have an amber light on the board.. so ..if there is no power the cause it is probably most likely the power source

My laptop wont turn back on. when i hit the power button the lighting bolt icon in the bottom corner with flash but it wont turn on. How can i get it to turn back on??

Are your LED's coming on like it is trying to read your hard drive? There should be an LED for power on, one for charging, one will blink when the hard drive is reading, etc. Are any of these working?

Hp desktop power wont turn on

When you powered it on, does the power supply fan spinning? If not, then you might need to change the power supply. It may got the led light lit on, but it does not have enough power to turn on the entire computer.

Hp desktop wont start

I think you have more than one problem there. Take it to a local PC repair shop and have them check it out. Five years is a good age for a computer though so you may want to think about buying a new one. Best of the Irish Luck to yer.

count the times the green led flashes? and how it flashes that´s an error code for your problem. it can be the motherboard or power.

Presario 6350CA won't boot

I don't know that I'm going to be a great deal of help, but here is the link to the support site for you Presario:

http://h10025.www1.hp.com/ewfrf/wc/product?product=390426&lc=en&cc=us&dlc=en&lang=en&cc=us

Here's a link to another page on the Compaq site that specifically talks about power supply problems:

http://h10025.www1.hp.com/ewfrf/wc/document?docname=bph06788&lc=en&cc=us&dlc=en&product=390426&lang=en#N514

They discuss a flashing power led on this site, but I believe they are referring to an led on the power supply itself. Perhaps the led on the keyboard and the led on the power supply are both flashing...

Good luck. I hope this helps.
