My polo was giving starting problems and jerking whilst driving sometimes, i changed the coolant sensor and was good for two days. now it still has problems sometimes in the day picking up speed, does

Sorry i would need to do the full monty here under the bonnet to locate the problem,Could be more than one problem cumulating in this sort of conundrum.Would help if i knew the year and weither its a dreaded auto or a proper car with a manual gearbox,Best advice i give here without the full facts is to advise you to ask a local mechanic to ask a local mechanic to have a look and see what he/she thinks could be the problem.I do know that sometimes on the 3 cyl engine the barometric valve which is the fancy name for the engine breather can cause problems like this as it fails to close throwing the mass air flow reading out causing the computer to give the incorrect mixture .

My 2007 ford transit loses power and then cuts out

I have a 2.4 diesel 375 nm model and i have been told that the problem is solved by installing the correct fuel filter. Mine loses all power and stops, and the curly light comes on, and I switch it off and start it again. It works every time but is bloody dangerous on a hill when passing someone and towing a trailer.

My vehicle stopped dead at set of lights and would not start, called RACQ he installed new battery $165 Stated that was problem, drove less than 1/2 kilometre down road, felt the vehicle ****. Continued...

Sounds like you have a fuel issue. It could be a fuel pump cutting in and out. It could be fuel pressure regulator, or an injector not spraying correct. I think it's time to find an honest educated repairman.

For something like this it could be a number of differnet things. I suggest that the next time your vehicle cuts out on you check for sufficent ignition spark. you can do this by removing a spark plug wire from a spark plug and holding it close to a ground on the engine (or if your brave enough you can grab it lol). and if you do not have spark then i would suggest to replace the ignition coil. if you do have spark then i would check for proper fuel pressure.
