First you need a ladder with a stabilizer bar. Once you're up there you will see that most likely they clip on to the outer part of the inside of the gutter.push down the hanger until the other end it's against the fascia you then will need to drill a screw through a hole in the hangar that will be against the fascia board.you will need a drill with an extension depending of what type of screw is being used.be careful as it is very slipperyand dangerous to go on ladders when there snow.you might also want to run down to a hardware store and ad additional hangers. If they come in a pack they will most likely have instructions or they can help you in the hardware store try Home Depot

Keystone hornet rv

Find another dealer...those guys are f***tards! That slide should be level and even when in OR out. Bent slide mechanism, mal-adjusted runners maybe. Have it checked out by someone who knows what they are doing.

Water can leak in FAR from where you see the damage. It runs downhill finding a low spot to settle. I would re-caulk the whole RV, paying special attention to the roof. Spend the money on roof sealer if you have to. Silicone tube caulk is a temporary fix. To be done right, you disassemble joints/panels and use the ribbon/string caulk. More work but should last at least 5 years.

Sooner or later they ALL will spring a leak. Keeping up on inspection and re-sealing regularly will minimize the damage.

2007 camry water leaking drivers side

If you have had a winshield installed it could be the seal around it. If not the it sounds like your A/C drains could be blocked . You will need to take it to a repair shop and have the drains blown out. If you have a Sun roof it also could be the drain are plugged . You can clean these your self .. just open the sun roof all the up and at the corners all the way in the front of the slides for the roof panel are drain hole clean them out till you can see where the holes go out and use a piece of wire ( metal coat hanger) only push it in 2 or 3 inch's to far and you can damage the rubber tube or put a hole in it .

My sunroof is not able to be closed. It is in the pop up position. Is there a manual way to close it? eg no use of electricity?

there is no manual method. It sounds like a limit switch is not working. Can you hear the motor try to operate? If you push up on the back of the glass a little bit while hitting the switch, what happens.

The sliding roof panel system consists of the following components:
  • RH circuit breaker
  • Timer module
  • Power window relay
  • Roof sliding panel switch (15B691)
  • Roof glass panel (50054)
  • Sliding roof panel motor (15790)
  • Halo moulding
  • Roof sliding panel headlining (519A02)
  • Roof sliding panel slide links (502M78)
  • Roof sliding panel housing (502C22)
  • Roof air deflector (500A26)
  • Center green diode strip
-------------------------------------
When the roof sliding panel switch is activated, a gear on the sliding roof panel motor drives a spline on the roof sliding panel housing. Within the roof sliding panel housing, the spline is connected to two sliding roof panel cables which cause the roof sliding panel slide links to slide and the roof glass panel to open or to close. The sliding roof panel cables and the spline are part of the roof sliding panel housing. Neither the sliding roof panel motor nor the roof sliding panel housing can be disassembled. If a malfunction is detected with either of these assemblies, the assembly must be replaced.

Sunroofs off track and wont close

If your indicating the roof is crooked, that's odd... The roof slides along a channel actuated by a coiled cord.

Both of the cords pass along a gear attached to the Sunroof motor which pulles the cord tooth by tooth, impossible to go crooked unless really jammed or tampered with.

There are two plastic wedges that drop into the plastic slides on the sunroof (the plastic slides are behind the more forward metal slides.)

The plastic slides control the tilt of the roof when moved independantly. The plastic wedges join them.

If the roof moves too far back, it is possible for the wedges to stick up and jam the roof open.

This should never happen, but could if the two switches on the gear fail and no longer provide feedback to the controller indicating the roofs position.

Access to the Sunroof motor requires you to drop the headliner.

To drop the headliner, the plastic pillar shrouds need to be removed front and back, the seatbelt bolts in the middle secion need to be removed, the oh-**** handle, the front visors, and cabin lights.

Hope the info is helpful.

Sunroof doesn"t open or close

Section 01-17: Roof Panel, Sliding—Electric 1996 Taurus, Sable Workshop Manual DESCRIPTION AND OPERATION Electric Operation The sliding roof panel (502B98):
  • is available as an option.
  • is electrically operated through the accessory delay relay (controlled by generic electronic module (GEM)).
  • is of self-storing design.
  • requires a specific headliner.
  • utilizes a unique roof console and dome lamp.
  • has an air deflector.
The electrical system operates in the following manner:
  • Two switches control movement of the roof panel.
  • When the SLIDE roof sliding panel switch (15B691) is rocked rearward, the roof sliding outer glass panel (502A82) slides into the storage space between the roof trim panel (51968) and the roof panel, exposing an opening over the front seats.
  • When the SLIDE roof sliding panel switch is rocked forward with the roof sliding outer glass panel fully back in the storage space, the roof sliding outer glass panel moves forward from the storage position.
  • The rear portion of the roof sliding outer glass panel moves upward on two lifter arms near the end of the forward travel, allowing a weather-tight seal when the roof sliding outer glass panel is closed.
  • An AUTO feature allows the SLIDE roof sliding panel switch to be touched momentarily to cause the roof panel to automatically move to the fully open position.
  • When the TILT roof sliding panel switch is rocked forward with the roof sliding outer glass panel fully forward, the rear of the roof sliding outer glass panel pops up to the VENT position.
  • With the roof sliding outer glass panel in the VENT position, rocking the TILT roof sliding panel switch rearward closes the roof sliding outer glass panel.
