In this case I would recommend, to unplug the printer from the system and also turn off the printer. Waith for 10-15 seconds, and connect the printer to the power socket first wait for a while till it gets ready and then connect the printer to the system and then check if you are able to see the printer or not.
Also, let me know when was the last time you were able to use the printer.
If the above step fails - Probably its a driver issue so, you have to let me know the make and model# for the printer and I can give you the suitable drivers for the same.

Tips for a great answer:
The light means that the printer has a paper jam.
To resolve this, Press Continue twice quickly to see the secondary error code. Press Continue to resume printing once all the jammed pages are cleared from the paper path.
