I have the same problem with my ViviCAM 3780s. I just bought a new AAA battery. And when I turned on my camera, I noticed that the power is flactuating. Now, my question is what would be the possible problem with my camera?

    Please advise.

    Thank you in advance
    Jerome

Most cheap cameras have a limited software capability. This means that power to flash and memory are always active. This in turn drains standard batteries very quickly.

To increase battery time turn off the monitor and flash when not in use. In addition remove batteries when camera is turned off. This will slow down the draining.

For best results purchase rechargable AAA batteries. Best are Ni MH (Around 1000 mAH). this will allow you to take around 2-3 times more shots than standard batteries.

HOPE THIS HELPS

Hi All. I used the 3780s quite sucessfully for over 4 years. It has one critical flaw. It drains battery power quickly if kept in flash mode. In flash mode, you will get maybe 10-12 shots with alkaline batteries before its battery runs out. The solution is to not use the flash or buy a rechargeable alkaline battery power set. The other problem is of memory which is obviated by buying a Sandisk or Transcend flash card of >= 1GB. Hope this helps.

Mine does this too, and the good batteries work for about a minute. I feel your pain, but this is a **** camera.

Check your batteries...sometimes cheap batterie or regular batteries do the same to mine...you may need to spend the little extra and purchase batteries for a digital camera ect....good luck

Kodak EasyShare Z740 Turns Off Fix Does your Kodak EasyShare Z740 Turns On...

Kodak EasyShare Z740 Turns Off Fix

Does your Kodak EasyShare Z740 Turns On Then Turns Off right away?
Does your Kodak EasyShare Z740 Turns Itself Off with new AA batteries in it?

Many of these Kodak EasyShare Z740 cameras that shuts off right away and will not stay on, will actually stay on if you select FAVORITES to view pictures, but just flash back and turn off if set to auto or camera mode. Try this.

If the lens cannot extend, the camera will turn itself off. You can try giving the camera a thump with the heel of your hand, but I would recommend servicing the camera rather than smashing a delicate digital instrument. After trying the steps below, a last chance alternative that works for some people is to grab and actually PULL the lens out as it tries to extend itself. Again, its delicate; if you can afford it, maybe pay for servicing before hitting and pulling on your camera.

However, before servicing your Kodak Z740 try this fix:

  1. Hold down the Time/Ascending Folder button (the button under OK on the circular panel)
  2. While holding that down, press and hold the ON/OFF button.
  3. The camera may turn itself on and stay on this time, acting normally again.

If this doesn't work for your try this:

  1. Hold down the '>' button (the one that brings you to picture review)
  2. While holding that down, press and hold the ON/OFF button.
  3. The camera may turn itself on and stay on this time, acting normally again.
If that doesn' t work, try again with the 'Trashcan' button, and ON/OFF button.

I hope that helps.

Hitatchi 42pd8700 turning itself on

You have main board issues, there is a 3.2 volt regulator on your TV that gives issues and will make the set turn on at random times, replace the main board and it should fix it, or you can order the part for under a buck from China and replace it yourself if you have soldering skills

TV turns itself off, then on automaticlly

The fan should run for a few minutes after shut off to cool the lamp down.

If I read and understand correctly somewhere in the cycle you are getting 5 red blinks? that is an error code........

Either you or I can Google the model number of the set with 5 blinks.....or visit the Sony site to see what it means.....

Grundig s350, installed new batteries and radio keeps shutting off by itself

When you press the Power/Sleep button the radio turns on and displays a number 90, or some other numbers. This is the play time that the radio will stay on then turns itself off. It could be that yours is configured with a sleep timer set to 01 minute, 10 or 15. You need to set the timer for a longer period. Thus we turn it on by pressing the Power/Sleep button, read the timer length then press again. Keep making short presses: The timer will cycle through all preset sleep timer durations. Select the length you want.

This seems to be a problem in the Power Supply I would think. Either that or a fault that is overloading the PSU.
This means a trip to the repair shop.
