Question about Sony Ericsson Cell Phones

1 Answer

Uncharged Sony Ericsson won't charge again

I left my Sony Ericsson off and uncharged for a while with the battery in (cos I bought a new phone) but now I want to use it and it won't charge. It doesn't even acknowledge the charger: no lights come on and the screen doesn't light up. Is there anything I can do at home or would I have to take it to a shop/buy a new battery? Is this problem quite common? Is there anyway to avoid it? Thanks for your help :)

An original charger might solve the problem.

Try to charge via original charger (look and ensure no pins were damaged).

SOURCE: permanent blue screen display

I had the frozen blue screen twice. As a cowboy reset, I removed the battery for a minute, then put it back in. Worked for me, didn't erase my contacts or anything.

Do batteries have to be replaced often? I bought my weed eater last summer and it did fine. I find it isn't holding the charge this year.

If not holding charge the battery is definitely bogus. Proper battery recharging procedures and habits must be employed to prolong battery life. There are batteries that do not like being left in an uncharged position - causes them to die prematurely. Follow instructions with new battery to prolong life as much possible.

What's your problem?i got a problem with the battery of my zte warp..how can i keep it charged at less one day?..it takes 2 hour to stay uncharged

If the cell phone battery is more than 3 - 4 years old then the battery could be worn out.Rechargeable batteries have a finite number of charge and discharge cycles andwill lose their charge capacity over time, i.e. won't charge to 100% and graduallythe charge reduces until the battery won't charge up at all. OR The batteryshows a 100% charge but when the adapter is disconnected the battery drops offto zero capacity in a very short time. If the battery drops to an unacceptablecharge level then the battery needs to be replaced.

The Battery does not seem to charge so I want to remove it and see if it will charge if connected to an external charger. How do I remove the said batteries?

Remove the batteries .. Every Chair is different .. but if the batteries aren't charging it's probably that they were left uncharged for a time and they dropped down enough that the charger dosn't recognize them .. If they drop down below around 6 volts the charger won't charge them ... I have taken batteries out and charged them individualy with a car charger .. but they never come back .. at best half life.

New battery and still camera will not turn on

Lithium batteries are usually supplied uncharged as new. You need to charge the battery (if you haven't already done so).

Out of three lithium camera batteries I have bought recently, only one would charge up, so it is possible that you got a dud. But try to charge it for a full twelve hours first.

CHARGING

Seems like your phones battery is weak. Try these to increase the battery timings:
  • Let your phone to completely draw its battery, once its fully uncharged then recharge it completely and then use it. That will prolong the talk time and battery life too.
  • Lower the brightness of your phone, that will result in less consumption of battery.
  • If it does not helps then consider buying a new battery, but hopefully that wont be needed.
Thank You!

BATTERY OVERCHARGED AND ALTERNATOR IS FINE

If you have a fully charged battery when you installed then 14 volts is way to much charge for the battery which would mean that the alternator probably has a faulty regulator and the alternator needs to be changed otherwise you will continue to install new batteries. If the battery was in an uncharged state then it is possible for the alternator to charge at full capacity to charge up the battery.

Acer Aspire 5050 I bought a new battery . My laptop works fine on Ac power but when I installed the battery it shuts off immediately

Try setting it up to charge but not turning the system on and let it sit overnight before attempting to boot again. The battery pack may just be in an uncharged condition or even faulty; like everything else today, it was probably made in China.
