SOURCE: Fridge is not cold

Side by side cooling units usually have 2 compressors, one for the freezer and one for the refrigerator. The refrigerator compressor may be bad, or not pulling enough power, or there may have been a leak in the tubing that the compressor uses to cool the unit with. To diagnose the problem, be aware of the noises the unit makes, and check to make sure it is a 2 compressor unit. If you only hear one compressor running then your compressor is bad, if you hear one running too often, then your tubing is bad, if the back of the refrigerator side is warm but the inside is not cooling down, then the compressor is not drawing enough power. Keep in mind that the radiant heat from the operational (presumably) freezer side may cause the refrigerator side to appear warm. (usually there is a type of wire backing with tubes running along it, these tubes should be mildly warm.)

How do you access the fans(s)that transfer cold air from the freezer coil to the fridge? Samsung RS267TDBP

The cold is transferred by the gas coils . there is a fan to cool the hot gas at the compressor . some freezers have a fan to circulate the cold air in the freezer , they don't transfer the cold from the compressor.

Samsung srs585hdis side by side fridge freezer

The cold control inside the fridge may be defective. Hmmm...wonder why Samsung did not mention that as part of basic troubleshooting? If no adjustment of the cold control yields results, chances are it is defective.

Samsung side by side not as cold as it should be all fans sound like they are working what to look for fridge only 4 years old pulled out back cleaned coil pack with compressor please help

We had a similar problem. SAMSUNG said to not set the freezer to the top range and the fridge to top range. If you set the freezer to the top range there is not enough cold air funneled to the fridge. We usually set the freezer to about 3 dots and the fridge to 4 or 5. Try that and see if it helps
