It was running great and started backfiring through the intake. Just had a valve job with new valves, valve guides, springs and a new rocker arm assembly. New point, rotor, distributor cap, and wires.


recheck the valve clearance when the engine is hot if it is hydraulic operated then thee will be an auto adjustment but it should be around .010 " when stationary and hot

How to set it?

2) 7000 series is same as 4000 series except 7000 series is 7 day, and the stationary pointer on 7000 series is pointed at 9 o'clock position

3) Add a comment and include model and brand timer for clarification.

T104 intermatic stationary pointer moved to the side


T104 pointer is stationary and is supposed to be pointed straight down, assuming timer is installed in vertical position.
Move pointer until it points straight down and apply bit of super glue, or just remember correct location.

Moved pointer intermatic T104


The time pointer is supposed to be stationary.
On T104 timer the pointer is stationary pointed downward at 6:00 position. So you can move it so it is pointed straight down and add a bit of super glue where pointer meets stem.

Can you find stationary points of this equation ((x-1)^1/3)*((x+2)^2/3))


There is only one stationary point for the function y(x)=((x-1)^(1/3))*((x+2)^(2/3)) and it is pointwith coordinates x=0 and y=-1.5859

At first, first derivation is y'(x)=x/((x-1)^(2/3))*((x+2)^(1/3)) and we obtained that y'(0)=0. Then we can find second derivation of the function and for value x=0 we could concluded that y''(0)>0. In this stationary point it is minimum value of the function.
Finally, at the points x=-2 and x=1 we have so called critical values for this function.

I removed the staionary pointer, Is there a special alignment to put it back. for the T101-70


Thank you for including timer model number.
Stationary pointer is pointed at 6:00 position on T100 series timers.
Pointer is not functioning part of timer mechanism except to point location for current time.

F 'x=x^2+2y^2 f'y=2y(x^2+2y^2) can some one help me to find stationary points for the above function


If those are the partial derivatives, then the stationary point should be (0,0). Because if you set the partial derivatives to zero and solve for x and y then the only solutions are x=0 and y=0.

Should i change from 4 to 2 wheel drive whilst stationary or if im moving how long should it take to disingauge


The best method is to be stationary when changing. When done stationary the disengaugement usually happens without delay. If you are moving when changing take your foot off the throttle and it should disengauge.

The center rotating arm that indicates the time on the yellow dial, got broken off (somehow). The center is still there, which is held in by a screw, and the unit still functions fine - just more...


The silver pointer arm is supposed to be stationary.
Part is not sold separately.
T100 series, the stationary pointer is pointed at 6:00 position.
Sprinkler timers, the pointer points at 7:00 position.
To set timer, rotate dial until current time lines up with stationary pointer.
