The freezer seems to be working fine but the refig doesn't seem to be cold enough.Do the freezer setting and the refig setter need to be set on the same number?

Normally what causes the refrigerator not to be cold enough is that the fan that pulls the air from the freezer is not working. Check to make sure it is working, if not then you will have to replace it.
No the freezer and refrigerator settings DO NOT have to be the same

My refig keeps freezing items in the veggie bins and even above that

Lower the settings to 1 or 2. If you have veggie bins with the sliding adjusting air vent (door thingy) check them and make sure the settings are cold and not colder. it brings more air to the bottom. Cold air drop to the bottom because it is heavier than warm air.

Frigidaire top-mount refig. freezer won't get cold ,temp.stays around 26 degrees, refrig. don't keep milk cold enough

check that the evaporator fan motor ,located in freezer is working.it circulates the cold air.also check that the coils behind freezer back panel are not iced up,this would indicate a lack of defroting due to,timer, heating element,or bi-metal.lastly when the refrig is running those coils should get frost over them all,if not you may be low on refigerant

Frezzer works refig not getting cold

sounds like it is a fan issue - there is a fan the blows the cold air from the freezer section in to the refrig section, stick ur head in the refrig section and see if you hear a fan running - you probably wont - you will actually probably start to notice that the freezer section is getting really really cold, like to the point of a deep freeze... the good news is that as long as the freezer section is cold your compressor is still working, so this will not be all that spendy to fix...

Dometic rm3862 refig. not cooling .

It sounds like the interior fan has stopped. It should be located behind freezer back panel. Pull out the screws and have a look. Hope this helps. Good luck.

Over under refrigerator

no , actually a bad defrost thermostat would not allow the unit to defrost, too much ice would build and you would be losing refrigeration/ freezer capabilities. a faulty cold control would cause refig to contstantly runf( never cycle off and sened verything intoa deep freeze, regardless of setting, so i'd look towards control fro your problem description
