Check the fuse that would be fitted in the plug.
Next check if the compressor windings are good with a multimeter.
If it shows short circuit to earth compressor must be replaced. If ok check start capacitor.

Whirlpool refrigerator not cooling after storm

Assuming that both freezer and refrigerator temperatures have risen and the humming sound that you heard was followed by a sudden click more than likely the start device on the compressor has gone bad. This is a common problem with all Whirlpool refrigerators (KitchenAid is Whirlpools top of the line product and suffers the same problem).

You need to replace the overload/relay , on the side of the compressor . Pt # 2262185 . This part starts the compressor and keeps it running .

You must have ripped the wires off underneath your truck, and you probably don't have brake lights anymore either. Better get somebody to repair it as soon as you can.

My frigidaire refrigerator does not get cold, but the freezer is really cold and freezes up. there is huge sheets of ice that form in the freezer and the food in the refer goes bad.

My problem also is that freezer is cold but fridge gets warm. When I turn the whole thing off for a sort time it works again.
How would I know which part needs to be replaced to repair this?
