Edic/fivestar carpet extractor will not work. Was working fine then shut it off and now won't come back on.

The manual doesn't show any adjustment on the spray pump. It is possible that someone has pushed something into the jets to unblock them and opened them up. Did you check that all the jets are there and one hasn't become detached and is dumping solution?

I would recommend the Hoover brand. The Bissell's are very problematic, they have belts that break and issues with the heating elements. Hoover Steam Cleaners can be repaired and are simple to use. The price range is generally $180 - $300

Hard to say without seeing it, is there a function type knob that you would switch from carpet to hose? Did the hose attachment lid close ok? Other then take, if this is new, it has a years warranty on it, just take it to a waranty shop for repair.
