Hi,
a 6ya expert can help you resolve that issue over the phone in a minute or two.
Best thing about this new service is that you are never placed on hold and get to talk to real repairmen in the US.
the service is completely free and covers almost anything you can think of.(from cars to computers, handyman, and even drones)
click here to download the app (for users in the US for now) and get all the help you need.
Goodluck!

SOURCE: wires off graphics card into mother board?

The computer won't boot if there is no graphic present. If you did hook it up right and there is a fan on the graphics card, it should be turning.

Testimonial: "Yes this was helpful I wouldnt have thought to look at the fan since it was on the down side."

Gateway's support documents page for this series is here. You can try picking your particular model from the list and see if any of the available manuals gives you the information you need. If not, please post a followup comment with more information about the problem you're having and I'll try to help further.

Need to know board model and those cases are wired so the plugs fit the original board. Your best bet would be to just get a new tower case. www.tigerdirect.com has them for $25

When i connect my desktop to my monitor i don't get any visual picture, but when i connect my laptop to my monitor i do. My desktop is gateway gt5465e

So it sounds like your video card on your desktop. The best solution here if you are not looking to spend much money is to buy an off board video card. It looks like from the specs on this model you should have a spot for a pcie x16 card.

My Gateway GT5465E cannot obtain an IP to connect to internet. The network card is built. All network drives are loaded and DSL modem is working.

Go to network sharing center. You can do this by right clicking the icon on lower right. Left click the internet connection once and then select repair. Am I being clear here?

Hpw do you replace the power source on a gateway MFATXPNT ESX 500S.

How do you know the power supply is the problem?
What issues are you experiencing?
Have you done any trouble shooting first? It could be a bad hard drive.

If you should need to replace the power supply first you need to get a replacement power supply for a gateway MFATXPNT ESX 500S - 300 watt power supply you can get here.

The next step is to unplug the computer from the wall > remove the case side access panel > ground yourself with an Anti-Static wrist strap cord so you don't fry *********** board electronics from static electricity discharge which can cost you a lot more to replace > now disconnect the plugs from the power supply wire harness, it may help to count the connections and mark them with a piece of tape or draw a diagram so you don't forget which loose cables should get reconnected to the new power supply. There will be at least one that connects directly to a plug on the mother board, DO NOT put tape there. > Next remove the screws which mount mount the power supply to the metal frame and slide out the power supply > slide the new power supply in the same way the other other was removed (note top from bottom) and then screw back to frame and reattach the cables > close the case > remove your grounded wrist band > plug computer back into wall and start the computer.

Congratulations, you have just replaced your power supply and ready to go.

IMPORTANT: Do not switch the power output selector switch on the power supply. Usually a recessed re switch which will adjust for european vs. US power input conversion.
