SOURCE: Can't figure out type of carburetor on my leaf blower.

I have seen 2 different carburetors used on this unit. A Walbro and a Zama. You will need to get the information off the carb. (Walbro WYC-10 or Zama K39A) are the two I have seen, but you need to be sure what yours is. Then purchase the correct O/H kit and rebuild it.

SOURCE: i need the schematics for stihl gas blower [bg85]

I had the same problem with mine. And when I wasn't using it, gas would drip out of the tank until almost empty. When I took it to the Stihl dealer, it was actually just the gas lines leaking. They changed the lines and tuned it for $75. It looked to me like the carb also but it was not, just the gas lines.

SOURCE: Poulan model: PPB430VS leaf blower. Won't start.

I think that those are suppose to be caps over the screw to discourage inadvertant tinkering with it. That way it is a deliberate act to get to them, if it is what I think it is.

Installed a new carburetor on stihl bg55 blower. primer bulb filling up but is not pushing gas into carb. no cracks in line filter is good. Have tried two new carbs with same result.

If the bulb wont prime you have a leak some where lines, tank, cap, if it is not air tight it will not pump.tank full of gas.

I have an MTD 611 snow blower thats getting too much gas and its leaking from the carb even when not running

If this is the carburetor:

Check to make sure the float bowl on the bottom that has the nut on it, is tight. You can also remove that and make sure the float is not stuck or saturated with gasoline.

It sounds like maybe you tore the gasket that attaches the carb to the block. Check that, Also make sure your screws holding the carb. in place are tightened.

There may be a plugged fuel filter in the fuel tank, or perhaps you have the oil mix to rich. other problems could be that it needs a new spark plug or carburetor adjusted.
Try spraying the carb out with carb cleaner, add a little seafoam in with the gas.

I would recommend looking at the exhaust side of the piston and checking it for scoring. This unit is meant for no more than 50-75 hours of use. My guess is that you did not use it one time for 75 hours straight so I would recommend a new carburetor and fuel lines.
To check this you can modify an irwin clamp with a nipple to pressurize the inside of the carburetor.barterjoe_0.jpg If air leaks out of the check valves in the brass fittings of the metering chamber they need to be cleaned In a jewelry cleaner or just replaced as a whole carburetor. $30-40 for the cleaner vs $40-50 for a new carburetor and lines. barterjoe_1.jpg
call a local shop like to get details about the special tools to test carburetors or to get carburetor parts. They may even be willing to clean your carburetor if you ship it to them. Good luck Joe

Yardman snowblower wont start

More often than not, old gas in the carburator breaks down. It turns green and smells like turpentine. This usually fowls the carb inlet. I dodnot know the technical name but You can usually solve the problem by removing the bolt that holds the bottom of the carb. to the carb. It looks like a very small tin can under the carb. This contains the carb float and lets gas into the carb. The bolt is usually hollow and has two extremely small holes that allow gas to be taken up to the carb venturi. They are usually clogged and therefore no fresh gas gets through into the chamber. Use a very thin wire or needle to clear debri. Clean out old gas and residue before reassambley. It could also be the Carb float stuck closed and again no gas is getting through. You can service these issues usually without taking the carb off the motor.

You need to rebuild the carburetor. Go to then parts diagram then illustrated parts online then parts look up then under select OEM select Homelite then do as instructed. You should find the parts you need and hopefully the parts breakdown for the carb. this will help you in the rebuild. If it does not have the parts breakdown for the carb. find what mfg and model carb. it is then go to that site for breakdown.
