I have the same issue. The controller seems to work okay (ie the battery charges) but the display never shows more than 0.2A and zero Ah charging. Anyone know how to fix this?

We need more info on what this is on, what you are doing with it and how you are measuring the current.

    Hi Brad

I have mine on a small PV system (120 Watt, 12 Volt) and charging an 80 Ah SLA battery. Drain is from LED lights.

I haven't measured the current, I have just used the LED display on the charge controller to tell me what it is delivering.

My battery was at 12.6Volts earlier and is now at 13.4, PV's are at 13.6 Volts and it tells me it is bulk charging but has only put zero Ah in it today at a rate of 0.2A

    Does that help?

    Thanks

    Andrew

The battery is fully charged. It will never read the exact same as the charge voltage

    Andrew Hurley Mar 07, 2016

Understood. But somehow it has got from a state of partial discharge (this morning) to fully charged (now) without the logger recording any Amp-hours.

So my problem is more about not being able to see the PV output in real time nor able to record PV yield over the course of a few days.

The controller is supposed to have this ability.http://www.jaycar.com.au/Ecotech/Solar-P...

(sorry this hasn't come up as a link. Do I need to use html for this)

Hmmm, just saw that the link you sent me "Powerstream" has the same charge controller but badged differently. I'll see if their manual is any more helpful.

  • Brad Brown Mar 07, 2016

There is a 4 day relearn process built into the unit and that could be the issue.

  • Andrew Hurley
    Andrew Hurley Mar 07, 2016

Sounds interesting... I have had it running for a couple of months now and never any change on the display (as far as Ah goes). There is a re-set button but the manual suggests that this is only for programming so I haven't been game to press it.

Would this help the re-learn bit?

  • Brad Brown Mar 07, 2016

I would say that it is worth a shot

Can emc ax150 work without the UPS cable?

I moved my AX-150 to a location that would not allow me to install the UPS as it has redundant power/UPS and you should not connect a UPS to the output of another UPS.

Without the UPS the AX-150 forces the Write Cache to be Disabled. Performance drops, form what I have tested, to around 25x slower. This is due to not just turning off the controllers write cache, but as with ALL RAID controllers, the onboard drive 8/16M write cache is disabled as well so the drives are even slower then they would be if they where not used on a RAID controller.

The write cache disable is your real killer! Actually the write cache is disabled one a week while the REQUIRED battery test is performed.

My solution was to write an APC SmartUPS Serial Emulator that talks to the AX-150 telling it that the UPS is working fine so the write cache never gets turned off, including during the weekly battery test!

Here is the needed RJ45 to DB9F. Colors are base on someone cutting off the end of a cat5 patch cable.

You can find the APC SmartUPS commands off the web.

I have a new Canon FS 10. I am having trouble uploading to my laptop.

How to convert .TOD/.MOD to avi, mp4, wmv, flv, mov, mkv , 3gp and other video formats?

You just bought a brand new camcorder, let’s say, JVC GZ-HD7, or other ones likewise that the extension file format is TOD. I am pretty sure they have brought you a lot fun as a family used digital product, many great valuable moments like wedding, family get-together, celebration parties, opening ceremony and many other interesting things just recorded in there…as for professional use, it is simply a must in their work, some even made their name by living on it.

Whether to the new users or to the Pros who have possessed for a long time, they all find a same problem with the TOD format. The problem is to find software programs that support the .TOD file that it uses. Many ways have been brought up and tried; some had tried to spend time on the phone with a tech support rep at JVC, some just tried the complicated and expensive Adobe Premier. What a suffering!

Don't fret folks; your camcorder is well worth it. TOD converter takes all your troubles and worries away promptly. It enables you to convert .TOD video format to many other popular ones like avi, mp4, wmv, flv, mov, mkv, 3gp, 3g2, dv, mpg, rm, rmvb, swf. So that you can enjoy your converted TOD video on PC with various media player, or you can just enjoy them on your portable devices like blackberry, PSP, Gphone, iPod, Creative Zen, etc. I have to say TOD converter is quite simple yet very powerful; the conversion can be done with just few mouse clicks. TOD

TOD light blinking means the TOD is sending a fault code. have the dealer check it out.

You can switch from 2WD to TOD-HI, at any speed below 50 MPH.

If you want to switch to TOD-LOW, you have to stop the car, put the transmission in Neutral, then turn the dial to TOD-LOW. When you switch out of LOW, do the same.
