It can be sorted out first just remove the memory card and than try to start the handset, if it works than there is some problem with memory card,format the memory card and than try to access it by putting it into the handset.

If the camcorder won't switch off, just open the battery compartment and remove the batteries. Let the camcorder stand for a couple of hours (or preferably overnight), then replace the batteries and try again.
FWIW, many camcorders will only let you transfer files to a PC if the camcorder is mains-powered, so that the transfer will not be interrupted by the battery failing part way through.
