Question about Computers & Internet
My HP Pavilion DV830 will not turn on. With the power cord plugged in, a blue light indicates it is receiving electricity but when I push the start button, nothing happens. It's just a black screen.

Try taking the battery out and booting it on AC power only, if it boots up turn it back off and reinsert the battery, turn the computer on, if it boots up all good, if not please post back.

Have you tried to boot the laptop with the power cable connected? Is the charging indicator on when you connect it to the adapter? If the charging indicator does not light up, check if your adapter output and try booting it with the power cable connected.
