How do I change the HEPA filter?

Firmly grasp each side of the HEPA filter and pull up with a quick snap. It will come right off. lay new one in place and simply "pop" back on.

What would cause my shop vac series90pn to quit working while picking up water

The best thing for a basement that is vulnerable to flooding is a small sump with a permanently wired automatic submersible pump in it. Such pumps are relatively cheap and available in many qualities.
While such an installation will not keep a basement dry it will ensure the water level rises only enough for the majority to flow into the sump and be pumped away without you needing to do anything.

Wet vacs of my experience either have a float valve to prevent water ingress into the motor or a switch to cut off the power if the level rises too high.
Many such vacs have a powerful motor generating much heat and are only suitable for fairly short duty cycles. When used continuously the internal heat build up can distort plastic and melt thermal safety fuses.

It is impossible to guess what the trouble might be and that will only be revealed by checking. With vacs the first suspect is the power cord and the second is the switch...

How do you make it blow air out? trying to make air blow out,i have the hose that has controls on it. will work to **** up but when i put it to blow out will not come on.

The Guardian Canister vacuums have a blow port under the filter. So you need to remove the filter (on the Guardian Ultra, you have to open the top of the vacuum) by lifting it up the forward. Then disconnect the hose from the normal suction end of the unit and plug it into the blower port. Now turn on the vacuum. If the hose is clogged, position the other end of the hose at the suction port.

For the Guardian canister, select the high, medium or low force for the motor. Then blow the dust out from under the furniture or use to fill an inflatable. Turn off the vacuum and replace the hose in the usual position and replace the filter when done.

If you are still unable to get the unit to blow out when connected to the exhaust port after attempting to clear the hose, separate the hose, wand and handle. Look down the hose for any object that might be creating a one-way valve. Remove the foreign object.Do the same with the other parts of the unit. Also replace the vacuum bag. If the bag is sufficiently full, the airflow will be reduced through the bag to the exhaust and cause the problem you describe.

The Electrolux Guardian Canister Vacuums are part of the Aerus line. The manuals for the vacuums are available here: http://www.aerusvacuums.com/support/manuals/index.cfm . The Guardian Ultra is in the current model section. The Guardian is listed in the Older Model drop-down menu.

I hope this helps.

Cindy Wells
(many canister vacuums have a blower mode when you connect the hose to the exhaust (after the bag) instead of the suction side of the unit.)

I just need the part number for my Guardian Electrolux model C134A i ran over the Hose and that was the part that broke. i need to compare prices so i can determine if it is cost effictive to change the...

The part number for the hose is 47086.
The best thing to do is contact the nearest Aerus Electrolux dealer.
If it's just the switch or handle that broke, it will be more cost effective to have that replaced. If I remember right, the hose costs close to $200 new. A new switch may cost up to $20, but probably quite a bit less.
The nearest Aerus store can be located using the below link.

How do you replace the 'after filter' in the electrolux guardian?

1. Press latch and open the door that covers the tools.
2. Squeeze clips at front of tool tray, lift and remove.
3. Remove filter.
4 Replace filter.
5. Replace tool tray and close door..

Instructions can be found in the Renaissance manual, which you can download from the following site. Go to "older models", find Renaissance and click on it, then click "download". Instructions are on page 9. The Renaissance is basically the same model as the Guardian.

Power nozzle N106M on our Electrolux Guardian has stopped workin

Start simplest always and work back to most difficult... so make sure you have power to the main unit, do you have a cheap voltmeter? If not they're cheap... Second check that connection plug is not stuffed with debris. Point is isolate whether it is the unit or attachment, most likely it's in the connection and repairable by you or used vacuum repair.
