Fuse keeps blowing immediately when switching on the treadmill, why does this keep happening?

A fuse is designed to prevent excessive current from flowing into a circuit. If the latter is not protected by the fuse, the excessive current can either cause some serious damage or the excessive current can overheat parts and perhaps result in a fire.

So, you are drawing too much current and that explains the small plume of smoke you experienced. If an electric motor runs slow because of excessive friction or load, it will use too much current, overheat and burn out the windings. Disconnect the motor and attempt to run the unit with the motor disencumbered. If the new fuse does not blow, then the problem is with the drive mechanism. If fuse blows, the problem is with the electronics and not the motor.

Would a bad pvc valve cause a 2008 Ford Fusion to smoke when going up hill

not necessarily
the purpose of the PCV valve is to vent the compression gases that by pass the rings into the sump back through the inlet manifold and so have the fumes burnt before going out the exhaust pipe
There fore it stands to reason that if you have worn rings/ broken ring or cylinder scored then there will be excess compression gas to the sump which tends to boil off the oil or actually burn the oil fumes in the sump and this excessive smoke will find its way back into the inlet manifold and if too much ,out the exhaust as smoke
when going up a hill that amounts to extra compression being exerted on the rings and pistons and a larger part of the compression gas into the sump and out the rear as smoke
I suggest that you have a compression test done to gauge the condition of the engine, an oil pressure test done with a mechanical gauge to measure the oil pressure to determine the condition of the bearings as excessive bearing clearance will overload the weak oil rings and that will also cause smoke out the exhaust
you have not mentioned the mileage done by the motor but as it is 2008 model and calculating the average mileage covered for that year vehicle I am thinking that the motor may be a bit worn
however the suggested tests done by an accredited service shop will give fairly good results to determine the next move

Causes for excessive fuel consumption in caterpillar D398 Engine

V12 twin turbo with 2x 6cylinder injector pumps.

Excessive fuel consumption can be ...
fuel leak on to the ground.. Obvious
fuel leak into sump via fuel pump body... Check sump oil
worn piston rings... Grey Smoke
glazed cylinder walls...smoke
burnt valves... Need compressin test
faulty turbo(s)... Sound, check manifold pressures
blocked exhaust line/muffler... Smoke black
faulty thermostat so motor doesn't get up to temperature, what is motor temperature ? ... Smoke black
lack of oil, wrong grade of oil for temperature
scavenge fuel line from injectors blocked or not returning to tank
faulty injector(s) causing poor fuel spray
faulty injector(s) bleeding fuel into cylinders... Smoke black
faulty injector pump balance
faulty injector pump timing
faulty coupling between injector pumps, even can be one 180deg out of timing
bad diesel fuel

Are there mechanical losses in motor load ? Alternator fault ? or gearbox fault prop fault ?

What is the exhaust colour ? Black or grey ?
What are the inlet manifold pressures ?
Using a thermometer ( IR if available ) what are the cylinder head or exhaust manifold temperatures ? This may isolate problem to one or more cylinders.

If you can supply more information I may be able to help track down the problem.

Has anyone had a problem with excessive oil consumption?

just about everyone does with either an old car or a new car with high mileage.how excessive? is oil consumption.well first thing is to check for oil leaks either underneath the motor or any oil lines feed into the motor .any major leaks would be pretty noticeable.if none are present then one would assume that your motor is burning the oil through the exhaust system .check to see what color smoke is coming threw the tail pipe.blue or black smoke indicates oil burning white will indicate engine coolant burning.in any case some color smoke is normal just depends on how much.so lets say your exhaust smoke is normal still could be burning oil just not a noticeable amount.on average you shouldnt have to add anymore than 2 quarts a month or every 1000 miles .depending on your driving conditions if you are having to add more than this there would be a leak some where or heavy color smoke.keep up on oil changes and always add lucas oil usually 1 quart its alot thicker than conventional oil so it reduces engine wear and will handle any small leaks in the engine components like the pistons and rings.if problem still present get to a dealer or certified mechanic as soon as possible good luck.

Dark smoke and do not acelerate but the motor work ,Kia sorento 2007 diesel

Dark grey/black smoke is excess fuel/ poor combustion. Get a garage to check the turbo function but you don't say how many miles its done so it may need an engine service including things like the emissions control valves etc.

The pump impeller could be bound up causing motor to try to turn harder if motor turn easy by hand with power disconnected. How long has motor smoked? It could be too far gone already.might just need to replace motor brushes if they are excessively win how old is pump? Was it used or new ?

Black smoking for a caterpillar wheel loader 988b

Black smoke is excess fuel so i would suspect a fuel delivery problem and without a good look i wouldnt even like to hazard a guess but try cleaning out the air filter first and make sure that any rubber hoses from the air filter to the inlet manifold isnt soft and collapsing when subjected to a heavy load

Excess smoke

The general rule: white-ish smoke indicates coolant in the exhaust, meaning a blown head gasket, whereas darker smoke indicates motor oil in the exhaust, which means that one (or more) cylinders have a broken ring, and the engine needs a ring job.
Fix for white smoke: replace head gasket.
Fix for black smoke: ring job.

Too much oil was put into the engine of an opel astra 160i 1999 model...the motor vehicle smokes excessively...was there any damage done???? what can i do abour it???

If you did not drive it very hard you have done no damage. Just drain it down till it's at the proper level. Drive it normal, she may smoke for a bit but the smoking should go away and all will be ok.

Excessive oil consumption. Some smoking when accelerating. No visiable external leaks. Any Idea? 1995 GMC Sierra 2500 5.7 L

excessive oil consumption and smoking is usually due to worn rings and/or valve guides in the engine. If you observe blue smoke coming out of the tailpipe, it signals a worn out engine.

If no external leaks, that's what it is. Maybe try to change the oil with a high mileage oil when changing the oil and filter.

I'm afraid, that these conditions don't get better with time.

A replacement motor, or overhaul of the present one is recommended if you cannot pass emissions tests in your area if required by law.
