Question about Nordic Track NordicTrack Treadmill, A2550

Open Question

I bought a NordicTrack C2000 treadmill approx 4 years ago. It has only been used for 2 hours (approx 10 miles). It has been stored indoors for approx 3 years. I tried to use it recently but the drive belt won't run. The console works , also the incline motor. The LED on the motor control board does not light up.There appears to be power at both motor brushes and the thermal switch.

SOURCE: Nordictrack motor will not run when start button is pushed.

Likely the cover of one of the motor brushes popped off. Unplug the machine before you pop it back in place, then try it again.

If that doesn't work, most likely it's the motor control board, or possibly the console, or finally just a loose connection behind the console.

But most likely, it's the motor brush cover. I've been seeing that alot with this model.

Nordi Track Treadmill C2200

treadmills draw alot of amps when being used. they recommend a 20 amp dedicated outlet.i ran into the same problem with a treadclimber.
you can try using a 15 amp but make sure nothing else is on that line

Only certain buttons on the NordicTrack exp1000 treadmill work.

1) You must check the flexible cord between display board vs controller motor board, and tight very well

2) Try to access to the keypanel and clean with special spray (clean contact you can find in radio schack or computer store).

3) Try to Measure the +5Vdc for I.C. including EPROM, ROM, etc.

4) And try again.

5) Measure if the power supply to display is coming out from the Lower board or Motor controller board. If not the Motor controller is faulty. You must replace it.

Use Dvoltmeter.

Remember 90% aprx the Motor controller board access to the function in the display board, elevation motor, power input, etc.

sincerely.

Just bought a Nordictrack a2550 last week. Only used it for about 2 hours and I'm having bet issues already. The belt will not stay centered no matter how much I try to fix it. The belt is also slipping...

Do you know if you are tightening it correctly?
Both bolts at the back of the walking belt should be turned clockwise to tighten the belt. You must also tighten the bolts the same amount and typically no more than 1/2 turns at a time. I usually adjust belts while the machine is running at approx 3 mph. Your belt should be just tight enough to not slip when you walk on it. If its too tight you'll wear out the motor bearings.

When I push to go say, 3mph it says i'm going 5 mph. So i'm worried that my miles are off and i'm training for a 1/2 marathon so it's important to go the right miles

ensure that no setting has been changed to kilometers per hour.
there is about 1.6 miles to one Kilometer this might be the reason for showing slightly different.

check and reset to Miles.

I hope this was helpful

When I turn on the treadmill, the top console lights up, but the bottom half of the console won't work except for 2 buttons. The START button will start the treadmill at 1 mph (stop will not...

First of all you need a Surge protector, you can get one from Nordictrack.com, it is on sale. Secondly, unplug the treadmill and leave it unplugged for at least 24 hours. Before you plug it back again, make sure you already have a surge protector on your outlet. Also make sure Trreadmill is the only load on this circuit. Plug it and try again. I had the same problem, and mine works this way. Some times, with dilrty power, the bit get set and the bottons stop working. Good Luck!

When I plug in my C2000, it lights up for one second then shuts off.

Is the red panic switch located correctly? This is the small square red plastic tab that magnetically attaches to the console in the lower middle beneath the iFit slot. The C2000 does not work unless it is connected as a safety precaution as you are supposed to attach the other end to your person and so you stop the device if the slip etc.

Speed fluctuates randomly

Try calibrating the console. If it doesn't work, you'll need a new motor control board.
