If you've determined that it's not a thrown breaker in your box, and you've depressed the small breaker on the unit itself and still does not start, then it's either the relay board inside the motor housing or the motor itself. If it's 15+ yrs. old , that's most likely the problem and I do replace them. Hope that helps!

This is usually an indication that the motor is going bad. Motors in central vacuum systems are very easy to replace. Most motors can be purchased online.

Page 6 of the manual states,
"The Service LED is a red light

that comes on when service

is required. Please call an

Aerus location to perform a

service check on the CentraLux

(including the hose, wand and
power nozzle system)."

Once the filter is in place put the retainer on and turn it 1/4 turn clockwise.

If the hose fits into the inlets, then there should be no problem.

Go to Aerus site and download the manual. Click below and go to "Current Models". Click on the space and find "Centralux" Click "download". You will then have the user's manual in PDF format in the location you saved it.

That is the easiest way, just hold the attachment end of the hose into dirt inlet (preferably the one on the unit itself) and use your hands to try and seal the end as best you can.
