So my younger bro, 4, did something to it and then the to turn on the DvD player or to put it into hold was jammed. So I tried some ppushing it back into place. But the button poped off and also the thing on the other side. What can I do to fix it?

Is the plasic broken? if not simple removal of screws from bottom will give you access to reset the switches properly
