Someone helped me install a ceiling fan. I told them that I here a clicking noise still , they said to go back and tighten every screw. I did that but the clicking noise is still their. What are my...

Check that all the blades are aligned when the fan spins. If one blade is higher or lower than the others it throws the fan out of balance and makes a clicking noise. Also check that the pitch on all the blades is the same, this has the same effect. The blades can usually be bent just a bit to correct any misalignment.

A noise coming from freezer, sort of howling and surging

CHECK FOR ICE AROUND THE FAN BLADES AND CHECK TO SEE IF THE FAN BLADES ARE TOUCHING THE SIDES OF THE AIR FLOW DUCT OPENING. WHEN THE BLADES TOUCH THESE OBJECTS THEY CAN MAKE A NOISE LIKE THIS. A MOTOR THAT IS ABOUT TO GO BAD MAY ALSO MAKE THIS NOISE. IF THE BLADES ARE'NT TOUCHING ANYTHING THEN YOU MAY NEED TO REPLACE THE FAN MOTOR. ALSO THE FAN BLADE MAY BE LOOSE ON THE SHAFT THAT IT SITS ON,TRY SLIDING THE BLADE BACK OR FORWARD AND SEE IF IT CONTINUES TO MAKE THE SOUND.

The fan is making too much noise

Hi. You didn't state which fan you are having issues with, so i will address both areas.

The condenser fan is located behind the refrigerator. It may be necessary to remove an access panel to reach it. This fan has a shroud, and if the fan blade becomes warped, it will rub against the shroud, causing noise. This fan blade is whole, and it can be removed and replaced if this is the case. Ok, the next problem spot will be the evaporator fan.

The evaporator fan is located at the back of the freezer. It may be necessary to remove obstructions such as the contents of the freezer, freezer shelves, ice maker and the rear inside panel of the freezer. The rear panel may be held in place by retainer clips or screws. Remove the screws or depress the retainer clips with a small screwdriver. Check the fan for warped blades. If the blades are warped or mis-aligned, replace it. This fan also is protected by a shroud as well, and it will make noise if the fan blade is damaged.

NOTE_ If the fan blades are not warped, and rubbing against the shrouds, this will indicate that the motor that rotate the affected fan is damaged. It must be replaced, in this case.

Why does my Jenn Air convection oven make such a LOUD clattery/ticking noise whenever I use it? I think it must be the fan...can you help?

If you can get at the fan blades without taking anything apart, try to turn the fan blade by using a small screwdriver or even a small wooden skewer. Listen to see if the blades are making contact with either fan cover or the back of the oven or the edges of the convection opening.

Once you determine which blade(s) are making contact, use a sharpie marker to mark those blades you need to correct. That way if the blades are hitting the fan cover, you'll know which ones need to be bent back into shape once the cover is removed.

With the oven turned off, you should be able to remove the circulating fan cover and correctly bend the fan blades back into shape and stop the noise.

Hope you found this very helpful and best regards!

LG Fridge making intermittent sound - like something hitting fan

GAIN ACCESS TO THE FAN IN THE FREEZER(EASIER SAID THAN DONE) AND INSPECT THE FAN BLADE AND FAN SHROUD. HAVE REFRIGERATOR TURNED OFF AND MANUALLY ADVANCE FAN BLADE. WATCH FOR SLIGHT CONTACT BETWEEN THE FAN BLADE AND OTHER OBJECTS NEAR IT-ELECTRICAL WIRING, FAN SHROUD, ICE CYCLE,ETC. ADJUST FAN BLADE OR OBJECT TO INCREASE CLEARANCE.
