SOURCE: Why does the projector keep going to standby mode?

If the lamp usage time has passed 2 000 hours (when LAMP POWER has been set to NORMAL), the projector will switch to standby mode after approximately 10 minutes of operation. The resetting procedure should thus be completed within 10 minutes.

1. Insert the power cord plug into the wall outlet and then

press the MAIN POWER switch.

2. Press the POWER button so that a picture is projected onto

the screen.

3. Press the MENU button to display the menu screen, and

then press the F or G button to select the OPTION menu.

4. Press the ENTER button, and then press the F or G button

to select LAMP RUNTIME.

5. Press and hold the ENTER button for approximately

3 seconds. The confirmation screen, "LAMP RUNTIME

RESET." is displayed and select OK.

6. Turn off the power.

This will reset the cumulative usage time for the lamp
unit to zero.

SOURCE: my projector going to standby mode very frequently

Is it overheating? If it is check the filters are clean and there is plenty of air flow. If not which lights are on and are any flashing then look in your manual for fault conditions. That should give you a good idea on the area of the problem. It may be a lamp issue or ballast issue it may be a detection error and the unit switches off when it thinks there is no sync pulses even though there is a picture.

Viewsonic projector Pro 8200 will not start / get out of standby mode

These blinks [flashes] are fault indication (Error Codes). From the number of blinks occur at one time switch ON, you can get an idea about the faulty circuit stage inside it. This will make repair easy. These are called blinking codes. Make sure about the exact number of blinking of the standby/power led, by switching On & OFF the set, for at least two times. Count it carefully. If you wish to get some details, check the site linked here. It has details about blinking codes, and fault locating, to many popular brand TVs and other devices. The "lamp" light keeps blinking red. Does this

The lamp life becomes 0%, when used
for approximately 4,000 hours with "Eco
Mode" or when used for approximately
2,000 hours with "Standard Mode" (see
page 43).
When the remaining lamp life becomes
5% or less, " " (yellow) will be displayed
on the screen. When the percentage becomes
0%, " " will change to " " (red),
the lamp will automatically turn off and
then the projector will automatically enter
the standby mode. At this time, the
lamp indicator will illuminate in red.
If you try to turn on the projector a fourth
time without replacing the lamp, the projector
will not turn on.
If you require the manual to help with changing the bulb, send me an email to [email protected] Put SHARP PG-B10S in the subject line. I will send it to you right away. Lawrence Brown

There is no problem here, the sharp projectors just do this until you enter the reset procedure. It comes on a sheet with your lamp. they differ from projector to projector. often involves hold down power and some arrows while plugging in the projector - that will reset the lamp timer and you will be away!

What does it mean when that blinking green light turns to orange one in lp 350?

Hi
This would be "Standby"
When you press standby, the display and audio turn off and a blank screen is displayed for 15 minutes.
You can change the amount of time the projector stays in standby mode; see “Standby Time” on page 27 for details.
The LED lights orange while the projector is in standby.
• If you press standby again within 15 minutes, the projector returns to normal operations immediately. The LED changes from orange to green.
• If you press standby again after 15 minutes, there is about a 60 second delay before the lamp turns back on. The LED flashes green while the lamp is re-lighting.
• If you don’t press standby again, the lamp turns off after 15 minutes. The LED lights orange while the projector is in standby.
The full manual can be found here:

I hope these help
