Question about Garden

Makita gasoline leaf blower acts like it's running out of fuel. Doesn't run at full power and often dies when I'm using it. Machine is 2 years old and has never had any issues. I always make sure that it has "good" gasoline in it, but the problem continues. Any suggestions?

Inside your little carbuator is this little fuel strainer (you need to dismantle the carby to do this) just check it And clean it with air gun replace your fuel lines as they don't last very well any more and tend to melt over time

Sounds like the carb needs to be cleaned, this is very normal after a while of being used, you should also change the plug and clean the exhaust screen as well

You should also check for loose bolts in the head and carb, either can cause this issue, and also check fuel lines for cracks or breaks

I have a McCulloch, that the hose rotted off the fuel strainer in the tank, I replace the hoses, it ran for awhile then stopped, removed the carb. an have cleaned, { 7 Times} it runs for awhile then stops, Usually I dump lighter fluid in the carb. if it starts Ign is OK if not its a fuel problem. You could check on the filter, I still have a problem with mine, its a pain when your on the roof an it stops. so check the fuel filter is the only thing I could suggest to you GOOD LUCK

SOURCE: Leaf blower will not achieve full RPM's

try removing the muffler and scraping out any carbon build up in the exhaust mouth of the block. if that doesnt help you will probably need to replace the carb.

Brand new Ryobi 2-cycle backpack leaf blower. It will not run full throttle. Should I take back and get new one or ?

Take it back. If the new one doesn't perform like it should get your money back and buy a Stihl. They will fuel and run the machine before you ever leave the dealer with it to make sure it runs like it should and they can answer any questions and even get you parts. Husqvarna may do the same thing

Make sure your oil to fuel ratio is correct. You cannot run it on gasoline alone.

A good carburetor cleaning may be ion order here. If you can get it, try running some SeaFoam through the fuel system. Check the bottle for the correct amount to use. If you guys don't have that available, try using some Berryman B-12 ChemTool fuel system cleaner in it. The dosage rate on that is about 1 ounce per gallon of gas or so and it will clean. I am trying to help you keep from taking the carb off and manually cleaning it. Try introducing one of those 2 additives to your fuel tank, run the machine and post back if needed.

I have a mikita leaf blower i have had right at a year and used only a few times, it starts and runs but as soon as you try to give it gas with choke on or off it will die. it runs fine with choke on or...

Try changing the gas. Pour old gas out and put new gas in. Make sure the fuel mixture is correct.

Check the fuel lines for cracks/breaks. If they are o.k., then:

You will need to disassemble the carburetor and spray with carb.cleaner.Make sure the small screen is free of debris. (Should be able to see daylight through it.)

Use a Den Tek Brush, (,to clean the small portals in carb. These portals can become blocked. Reassemble and start.

If the carb. parts are more than 4 years old, you may have to replace them.

If you need further assistance on:
1. Fuel line replacement or
2. Carburetor kit replacement

Just let me know.

Troy bilt blower (gas) will not run on full throttle,if I have the choke on will run but as soon as I cut back on choke the machine dies.

I believe you need some carburetor adjustment done or you have some bad gas. The manufacturer's school we have been to this year, told us any fuel over 30 days old is considered bad gas. And in many cases we have found that to be true with the repairs we have had to do.
Good Day.

Craftsman 2 cycle leave blower will not start

That fuel/oil mix ratio should be 32to1 or 32 ounces gasoline to 1 ounce oil. You will have to make up a new mix and probably clean the fuel system and the spark plug before it will start.
