Question about Lenovo IdeaPad Computers & Internet
This could be one of a few things. It's possible that you accidentally lowered the light/blocked the proxsensor or that the back light on the keyboard simply failed.
Can you link the make and model of the keyboard/laptop?

Does the keyboard work? If so then the backlight may be malfunctioning and have a bad connection or need to be replaced all together.
