Question about Whirlpool Duet GHW9150P Front Load Washer
The F6 error on a Whirlpool Duet means that the control unit doesn't know the drum RPM speed during the spin cycle. It occurs with a number of problems. The problem could be with the MCU (motor control unit) or the wiring between the motor and the MCU. Next you should check the wiring between the MCU and the CCU (main clock). A problem with the door lock or that wiring could also cause the issue. Finally, the bearing on which the drum spins is bad.
The MCU is the most likely faulty part unless you find a wiring problem. (The wiring harness has a number of small wires connected to it; it's not uncommon for one wire in the group to break while the rest are intact.) Inside the washer's front panel, there should be a wiring diagram with additional information on some diagnostic steps.
If you can't easily spin the drum by hand, then the bearing is a likely suspect.
I hope this helps.
