Question about Smeg Dishwashers
Went bang i took out and bypassed the power filter which had a split and a hole in top and was black i now have the power light but nothing else has it blown the main board or can it be reset
Is the power light on the board or a separate indicator?
were did the current go when the capacitor in the filter blew? probably into the board......

SOURCE: Re; Smeg DWD612CSS dishwasher.
I would first look for anything that may be stuck anywhere in the machine that may be causing it to come up with an error. Possibly something that was in the dishwasher is making it think it can pump out the water even though it is draining.
I think that the code E3 stands for a heating issue so I would have a look at those components in your diswasher and see if they are working.
Let me know what you find when checking it and we can go from there to fix your problem.
Good luck and be safe when working on it.

click the link directly
also click this link directly to get the exact picture
also try this
open the door, switch it off, switch it on and immediately press the program button 4 times within 3 seconds. (Don't wait for any lights when you switch it on, just quickly press the button 4 times).
The two end lights should light up. Press the program button and one of the lights should go off.
Switch it off for about 20 seconds, switch it on, switch it off for about 20 seconds, switch it on and it should be reset.
If resetting doesn't cure it, check that the base isn't flooded and the anti flood device activated.
If you're getting any other error code don't do the reset, just post the lights that are flashing, 1 being left and 5 being right. ------------- Check for water in the base of the machine, not the tub.
Drain the water from the base, if there is any, and the machine will reset itself.
If there's no water follow the reset procedure as previously described.
You must get the two end lights lit first before you can carry out the rest of the reset procedure.
If you can't get the two end lights lit then it's possibly a faulty pcb. ----------- if by chance its faulty pcb then Faulty PCB.ne pcb costs £120 + VAT + call out charge so not worth doing

this is Usually caused by a tablet sticking in the Detergent Dispenser. This will stop the Detergent Dispenser from opening at the correct time on the wash cycle.
