YES The 75ohm receptacle (looks like cable input) Is an RF connection. Modern antennas use a cable to connect to TV. This would be same port as a set top box would use.

Testimonial: "I'm a bit technologically "challenged." All I could gather from the response above was that I probably needed an adapter to connect the antenna. Therefore, I went to Radio Shack with the picture of the TV and my antenna and they sold me a 300-Ohm UHF/75-Ohm VHF TV Signal Combiner which looked like it would work. However, when I got home, I found that the end that was supposed to attach to the TV was the same size as the part on the TV. Is this the wrong adapter? Or do I need something else?"

On the tv set a no signal sign appears

Check all the input connections. Connect it with an external antenna, and select the input as TV, and do an auto-search. For more details, refer its user manual. If you can't get any on air transmission by this way, the tuner to your TV is faulty. If you wish to get some details; check the site linked here. Pull up older posts. Do I need a digital converter box & antenna to get

It really depends upon your TV. If your TV is newer and has an ATSC tuner in it, then no - you'll just need the antenna. However, if your TV is older and doesn't have an ATSC tuner, you'll need an external tuner, what you're calling digital convertor, and an antenna to get the local channels. Use Google or another search engine to find the specifications for your TV to see if it has an ATSC tuner. Or, connect an antenna to your TV, run the channel scan (off-air antenna mode) to see if you get any local channels. If you don't, you'll need the external tuner.

How to get off blue screen

Check the TV by connecting it to an external antenna. If it works well with external antenna, check the input selection done after connecting the DVD player. Check whether Power to the DVD player is pluged in and it has been switched ON.

Hello

If your TVs internal telescopic antenna has broken, you can us an external antenna from connecting to the rear antenna socket. For that you have to buy some extend of antenna cable, and a yagi antenna; as it is better for reception. If your TV screen size is 14" or below, a small wire of length 2 mteres or so is enough. Buy one Balun coil assembly fro electronic sparepart shop, and connect this wire to it, connect it to the antenna socket at the back of the TV, and with picutre just wave it to some side where you get the maximum picutre clarity.
If you TV screen size is more than 14 inches, external yagi antenna shoud be used for claear transmission reception, and it must be directed well towards the tranmitter also. Alaingning it is a trial and error process, at which position you gets the clearest picture, without any Ghosts. OK.

We can't get any channels to tune in with the over the air antenna.

I solved this problem by purchasing an external indoor HD TV antenna. Once I plugged it into the TV, I received approx 20 channels, picture and sound are fine. The antenna that comes with the TV appears to work only when you are located quite close to the source of the TV signals.

Although the Freeview box is correctly installed with my TV,when the men button is pressed the only message to appear on the TV screen is No Signal,HELP!!

Ok, if you have "No Signal" that can only mean you must be selecting the wrong INPUT, when it is hooked up yo the TV, essentially the TV, is just a Display Monitor, and it doesn't use "Channels" anymore, it uses the AV, or EXTERNAL Inputs, any channel changing is done on the Freeview box. Make sure you are connected color to color, cables are connected. The antenna, goes into the freeview, the AV cables go to TV, taking the Video 7 Audio, from the Freeview box, to the "Screen" TV, set to the External input, that the "Box" has been connected too. Check your manual out.

Screen has gone to blue screen.....

OK A Blue screen, indicate that there is, or the TV "Thinks" there is NO SIGNAL. Please Check your Antenna Connection. Unplug the TV, for 5 mins or so. You MUST prove either the TV or it's "Signal Source" the Antenna. Try the antenna on another TV, if possible, try another antenna,on the TV, Try feeding in a signal via the EXTERNAL inputs. IF ALL Inputs are proved OK, and the TV, still will NOT display any signal, then it would appear that you may have a "Tuner" fault, or some other underlying condition, that affects the reception. In my professional opinion, in that case is to get the unit looked at by a Toshiba, recommended service center, VERY IMPORTANT to do that. Ask for a "Quote" from that service center, and go from there.

GE Spacemaker TV/Radio combination Model #7-7650

Yes, you will need an external antenna to pull in the digital signals. It will not work with the built-in antenna on the GE. Alternately, you can use an external antenna (ie, rabbit ears), connect them to the converter box, then connect the converter box to the antenna jack on the back of the TV (I think it has one). Granted, not an elegant solution for a kitchen TV, but it beats not using it anymore.

Cheers
