SOURCE: Hitachi CP R555 Multimedia LCD Projector

Hi there

In your Menu options there is a subfolder where it either reads lamp or lamp timer.

Scroll down to it and hold down you right or left arrow key on the Projector for a couple of seconds.

SOURCE: problem with hitachi cp-RS55 multimedia projector sir

There is a menu item which has both the lamp hour reset and check air flow, etc. You must go into the menu and reset the air flow item. MAKE SURE YOU CLEAN THE DUST FILTER!! Heat is the number one killer of projectors and Hitachi's run "hot". I clean my projector once a week--Hey, I'm not rich. lol! Also, excessive heat will cause the lcd panels to fail prematurely and cause lots of other components to do the same.--Rick

Hi,

Make sure the Computer Input is set to VGA, Computer, or RGB (depending on which projector model you have). Go through the menu settings of your projector.

Hope this helps

My projector won't project anything. the computer recognizes the projector, but the projector does not recognize the computer. also when i turn on the projector the benq logo doesn't show.

Disconnect all inputs to the BENQ and power on. Do the lights come on as per normal operation. Does the lamp come on when the power button is pressed. Does anything show when the menu is selected.

Having trouble with Y-VGA splitter, connecting to both Dell 380 computer and projector at the same time - Dell monitor cuts off when connected to projector.

Sounds like the the monitor detect line is causing your issue. The Hitachi CP-X250 has VGA in & out. Hook the Dell to the VGA out port of the projector.

Hi, our Hitachi CP-S225 will not work with our new laptop EliteBook 8440p. Our IT support has said it is because we need a driver. Can you please help?

What did they say the driver was needed for. Aren't you just using the vga output of the PC to feed the video signal to the projector. No driver is needed for this

Do I need a driver to connect a dell laptop to a Hitachi CP-X301? I tryed to use about 12 pin cable, but the projector did not show

No, you don't. You just need to switch the video output from internal LCD to the external - on a Dell it will usually be Fn key + F8. It toggles: internal - both - external in sequence.
And of course you have to select the proper input on the projector, or set it to auto-detect and wait for detection each time.

I have the same problem with a Hitachi CP-X345 Multimedia Projector. My Acer Aspire 3630 Laptop cannot be detected but it works without incident with a Dell Vostro 1500; just plug and play. Desktop settings to second screen doesn’t seem to help.
