Not usually as simple as that!
Try this first leave unplugged for 24 hours then replug and turn on. This is the standard reset.
However it often spells the beginning of trouble beginning.
The fail safe circuit detects overheating on certain components and will shut down to prevent fire, so now never leave it on standby and go shopping or to bed without turning it off.
The power board and the sustain boards have been compromised and some components are in the process of failing or have failed. It is not a DIY due to HTelecvtrocution and radiation risks. Circuit diagrams, special tools and knowledge are required to correctly fix this and re tune it. Unlike PC's board swapping does not rectify the total problem.

Got the same problem. Foud:
Zener D648, 5V6BSB, was open: Resulting in very high output non regulated voltage
Zener D668, 20BSB, was short, due to the output voltage being too high.
