I can't sign in under my clerk ID!

Have you tried every other id? If so, you could try a flag clear (see the manual for procedure) which usually loads a clerk in order to allow programming while in program mode. Then you can edit clerk file again. Good luck

How do I sign on and get rid of the E008! How do I put a clerk in there so I can sign on

Hi. You just type in your clerk id number and press the CLK# (clerk) button. That will remove the error and allow use of the register. If you've forgotten your secret ID code, you can program a new one. One of the users has most manuals here:

Our church coffee shop was given a Casio PCR T500. How do I get past the E008 "Please sign on"? to reset the sign-in code?

This is a security issue. You can't change codes without signing on. You need to sign on with at least one clerk code. Did you try the defaults?

How do you disable clerks on a pcr-t470?

Clerks are there to stop fraudulent behaviour so they are built in. Just sign on a clerk and away you go.

I have CASIO SE -5300 and cannot sign in with correct ID number shows error E008

The clerk login should never change without secret code programming so it seems very strange. What buttons are you pressing to log in. Are you sure you are using the correct PIN numbers for your clerks?

Casio cash register pcr-t470

This is correct. You have to be signed on to the machine to perform any tasks. this is because the machine keeps a record of who performed any functions. Just sign on to enter programming

Is there a way to change the name of a clerk that is already programmed into the register. I have a PCR-T470. Thank you for any assistance you can give me.

Here is the manual in pdf form:

http://www.casio4business.com/sa/products/downloads/manuals/PCR-T470_E071227A.pdf

I don't belive there is a way, but, if you go to page 56/57 there, and it will show you how to program a clerk.

Hope this helps!

Casio Cash Register, I Need Details On Clerk Function , And How To Use It. Model : PCR-T470

The clerk function is used to log sales under staff numbers. It is usually used when you pay your staff by commission, or you want to track particular sales by certain staff.
To sign a clerk on, type a clerk number and press CLK#. By default, the clerk numbers are 1, 2, 3, 4 etc. They can be changed if you need secret codes.
To sign a clerk off, press SIGN OFF
Hope this helps. If you need more info on clerks, just let me know.
