Question about Samsung 26.0 Cu. Ft. Side-by-Side Refrigerator, RS265LABP

Samsung RS2545SH Freezing Everything

The refrigerator is freezing everything. It has a digital temp control on the outside. I have the freezer set @ 8 and the frig set @ 46, which is the highest setting for both. I put a thermometer in the frig and it reads 32. The compressor and fans do turn off but not very much and not for very long.

Yeah mine is freezing soda cans to the point they pop. I had set it at 46F the highest temp. still to no avail. I called samsung support and they immediately start accusing me of not putting things where they belong and overloading before I could tell them I do not stuff the fridge. I keep only 2 weeks of food in the fridge and empty every 2 weeks before shopping, leaving 1/3 empty. They refused to send a tech to repair it. I told them I will just buy a GE, Maytag or anything else, never to buy another samsung product.

Sounds like a thermostat problem. There will be a thermostat sensor inside the fridge usually inside the interior light housing.

Calibrate temp

You need to balance the temp settings. The freezer controls everything and it you have the refrigerator set wrong then the freezer tries to compensate. This means that things get too cold

GE GSS25LGMF BB refrigerator freezing everything. Refrigerator is set on 1, still freezing.

The fridge gets its cold air from the freezer through a vent between the freezer and fridge. The fan in the freezer blows air through it. There is a flap you adjust with the fridge temp. control. Make sure it's opening and closing when you adjust the fridge temp ..

Your refrigerator has electronic dampers that may be only stuck. I think it would not hurt to defrost the refrigerator and lets have a look at those damper motors and see if they are responding to your control settings. Let me know, Sea Breeze

Samsung RB215BSSB refrigerator freezes up

I had a similar problem where my evaporator coil was freezing into a block of ice, which caused my fridge to warm up due to a lack of air flow. I fixed this by doing a few things. I replaced the circuit board ($100) which was easy to do. Unfortunately, this didn't fix my problem so I took the inner fridge cover off to view the evaporator/heater coil assembly. I checked my thermo fuse and found it to be open (failed). I ordered the thermo fuse and the thermistor and replaced them both. I then plugged the fridge back up and put a regular thermometer inside the fridge to get an accurate reading of inside temp. A few days now and everything looks good. The board, fuse, and thermistor were all pretty easy to replace.

Top mounted freezer on refrigerator not working

Move the refrigerator to a room that is at least 50 degrees F.

Temps on most refrigerators are regulated by the fresh foods temp. If your garage is let's say 35 degrees, the fresh foods temp will most likely never raise enough to turn the refrigerator on. With the refrigerator never running, the freezer compartment will warm to 35 degrees, resulting in everything melting. Even if garage is a bit warmer, say 45, the refrig will not run long enough for the freezer to maintain a low enough temperture. If the garage temp falls to below freezing, say 20 degrees, the food in the fresh foods compartment will freeze. (outdoor beverage dispensers have internal heaters to prevent product from freezing !) Please don't rate this if not a Fix-Ya for you, as anything else lowers my score.

Samsung fridge RS2545SH every 7 days freezes fridge coil.

Hey how yo doing? on most refriderator there are two important parts to keeping freezer from freezing over, they are the bimetal thermostat and ice pipe heater. The bimetal therostat is a preset thermostat that ranges from 54degrees farenheit to about 60, when the coils (inside the freezer compartment behind the back panel) reach the preset temp. it closes a circuit and send electricity to the ice pipe heater, to warm the freezer coils preventing from freezing over. if any one of those components fail, your freezer will continue to freeze solid until there is no more space for ice to build on coils decreasing air flow from the evaporator fan blowing air into your fridge. To test you will minor knowledge on using a multimeter.(REMEBER TO UNPLUG REFRIDGERATOR BEFORE SERVICING, IF YOU UNCOMFORTABLE WORKING ON APPLIANCE PLEASE CONTACT A PROFFESIONAL REPAIR SERVICE..) If you'd like to continue please respond.
GOOD LUCK, WORK SAFELY..
