SOURCE: Hey, I have a problem with my soundsystem

Sounds like (no pun intended) the amplifier circuit in the speaker is bad. When you use the headphone the amplifier is not used - only the preamp. It will need repair.

My levono C460 system sound is off so no sound what can i do?

Hi
3 possible solutions:-
• Adjust the Windows volume control - select the speaker icon from the Settings Charm or click the arrow on taskbar to show the hidden icons in Windows desktop mode, then click the speaker icon. Ensure that the volume is turned up and the sound is not muted. Adjust the volume, bass, or treble controls to eliminate distortion.
• Reinstall the audio driver.
• Disconnect any headphones from the headphone connector - sound from the speakers is automatically disabled when headphones are connected to the computer's side-panel headphone connector.

I also give a link below to a page from which you can download the full manual for future reference.

Bass treble adjustments

I have the Toshiba Satellite C55-A5300.

I'm not sure about before the update, but after the windows 8.1 update my audio was pretty bad and had no bass at all.

In Control Panel ---> Hardware and Sound I found "Realtek HD Audio Manager" which has a tab named "DTS"

Once I hit the Launch buton I was able to apply settings for headphones and external speakers including bass boost.

My audio is now much better.

Hope this helps.

Hey! I have a problem with my sony MDR-RF81 headphones....when the bass is to loud...there volume is droping...when I listen to skirllex for example...the volume is high or low...but when the bass...

Hey there, the problem with your sony is not a hardware problem, the headphones are completely fine, its the amount of bass you are putting into the headphones, there are two solutions to this, if you're using a mobile device (Apple, android etc...), go to your app store and download an equaliser e.g poweramp, with this, you can adjust the sound going through to your headphones using the built in equalizer (usually 5-10 bands, research this if you have no knowledge of equalisers), you can use this to turn down the bass frequencies in the sound, or the only other thinkable options are if you are already have an equaliser in use, turn it down, because putting all of the bars to the top makes the sound horrible, research on some suggestions for equaliser presets (another word for equalizer settings), or just turn the volume down.

the reason this happens is because bass naturally overpowers treble, and if it is too loud, the treble and mids will be significantly quieter, headphones are a menace for this, so all you have to do is tweak the sound a little (using an equaliser) to find that perfect balance between the different elements of sound.:-) :-)

Hope this helped mate :-) :-)

No, there are no known issues. Typically a lack of bass response is due to a poor seal with the ear canal. The headphones use sealed ear canal is a resonant bass chamber. Thus, if there is not a good seal, the bass will be significantly lower.

You Have a bass with your headphone
You have to connect bass power and connect it audio wire to your computer or other players then turn on your headphone and find its wave by an adjusting volume on headphone.

Can this unit be connected to my computer so I can make cd's?

It can if your computer has a 3.5mm jack audio imput.
What you need to have on your unit is and audio out socket. But if it doesn't have one you can use the headphone output. Then all you need is a lead. If you have the output sockets you just need a 3.5 jack to two RCA phono plugs one. If not you will need a 3.5 to 3.5 lead.
If using the headphone output, keep the volume low, use the computer recording device to adjust the signal level. NEVER turn the volume up high. Again if you are using the headphone output set tone controls to neutral, otherwise you will have either too much bass or treble on your recordings.
You can use the computer speakers to monitor the sound. Or you can get a headphone adapter plug that will allow to jacks to go into the headphone output of your unit, so you can connect a pair of headphones, but as I said don't mess with the volume control.

Any info on Altec Lansing Satellite 31 set up?

Hi, I have these. Always unplug the Sub before changing the wiring around.
You should have a dual cable. Plug one end into the Sub's Audio In and DC Out (the one that looks like a power plug goes in DC Out, the one that looks like a headphone goes in Audio In). The other end of the dual cable goes to the Satellite that has the volume control. Plug into DC and Sub. Plug a cable with headphone plugs on each end into the SPKR jack on each Satellite. Plug another cable with headphone plugs into either Input 1 or Input 2. The other end goes to your computer's audio out. I don't have the original of these two cables so I can't tell you what they look like. If one is longer or thicker it should be the one to go between the speakers. Set the level control on the Sub about 1/4 up. Plug the Sub in and play some music. You can adjust the Sub level and the Bass and Treble to your liking. I have my Bass & Treble straight up, Sub at 1/4. You can use one of the inputs for your computer and the other input for another device like an iPod without having to unplug things.
