Have a 11.5 hp engine on 30 in snapper, after 30 minutes or so it will cutout and die. I can clean the plug and put it back in START it and it will run good for 30 or 40 minutes and die again.

One question is the spark plug filed when you remove it? If it is change it..If not It sounds like you are having fuel delivery problems..where the float is sticking or dirty and not allowing the gravity time to keep the fuel supply up.try this, the next time it does that..do nothing and wait about five minutes..if the float is sticking or dirty sometimes the carb bowl runs out if fuel..this will allow a dirty or sticking float valve to slowly refill the bowl..if it starts after five min or so..that is what it is..the carb will need a good cleaning..if you are mechanically inclined...not a hard job just remove the bowl from the bottom of the carb and carefully remove the float and valve remembering the order you removed it...use some carb cleaner and spay the valve seat and clean the float valve...should be ok..good luck..

you need good compression ( at least 90 psi , kicking it with the throttle open) , good crankshaft seals for sucking the fuel/air into the botton end, proper point gap and timing set for spark ( spark should be big and fat,if not the source coil is weak,, this is a flywheel magnito ignition and it needs no battery to fire the plug) if you clean the carb, make sure you also clean the choke pickup tube or it wont choke. also make sure you have the slide installed in the right direction ( not backwards and the idle is not set too high at first...compression/****-good spark at the right time-proper fuel/air ratio and it will run

Craftsman pressure washer constantly fluctuates and then stops

sounds like fuel problem. Either water\trash at bottom of tank, or most likely, carb needs to be disassembled and bowl and jets sprayed out w\carb cleaner.my money is on the latter.

Coleman Powermate 10 HP Generator shuts down after a few minutes.

I have an HM100 on a 5500 watt gen with the same problem. This motor calls for a J17 spark plug, but I found using a J19 (hotter) plug solved the problem. I think the J17 doesn't get hot enough for a complete combustion burn so it act like fuel starvation thus resulting in the black sooty and wet plug.

Pressure washer will not start

Do you get a spark? Take out the plug and leave the wire attached. Hold it close to the metal frame using INSULATED pliers. Have someone try to start it. Can you see a spark? Is the oil OK? Some engines have a low oil shut off.

You can try spraying some carburetor cleaner into the carb. If it starts for a minute, your carburetor need cleaning. When you added new gas did you remove the old gas first? Is the air filter clean?

Craftsman 25cc edger has trouble starting. once started it will run for 5 - 10 minutes and then shut shut off. Will not start again until it cools down. Changed the spark plug , but it has the same pr

Dump the fuel in the tank, get new gas and new oil and start over. Get a carbeurator cleaner additive for the gas as your carb. is dirty resulting in the sporatic operation.

A spray carb. cleaner that you squirt into the air intake by removing the air filter will also work for you. In fact, when you are getting the carb. cleaner get a new air cleaner and a new spark plug. get back and let me know how u make out.
