The value of R63 is 220 ohms.

The full service manual is here: http://www.microwavedisplay.com/r1880ls_sm.pdf

Let me know if I can help further.

Sharp R-1830 800W Clock gone crazy

hi the problem your having sounds like either the board as got damp and is causing a short or it could be something stupid like just need resistor replacing have you tried switching off at mains for couple of hours to reset the unit also if it is a resistor this is cheap to buy and repair as long as you have the ability to test the board and any resistors and also soldering ability.
If you need to get somebody else to do this then you might find it cheaper to replace the whole unit as with the age you might get something else go wrong.
This isnt something you can solve by pressing buttons it will need the board testing at various points and also checking the resistance at certain points on the board.
If you have never worked and repaired microwaves before then i sugest leave it for someone else because you could cause serious harm to yourself or family members.
But if you have multi meter and good soldering iron then you could find the schematics on line and test the board yourself.
Let me know what you want to do so i can assist you further ok

Model 1880LS. How do I replace the fuse?

You will have to remove the outer cover. You should be aware that doing so exposes you to potentially lethal voltages, even with power disconnected.

Unit dead Unit is dead - suspect blown fuse

Usually, when your microwave oven doesn't work it all, the internal fuse (thermal fuse) is blown. This fuse protects both you and the oven. When it blows, you need to have a qualified appliance repair technician replace it.

The reason for this is that if you do not have any experience and training with microwaves, you can get a SEVERE shock, even if the oven is unplugged. THAT being said, if you still want to know where the fuse is get back to me. good luck.

ALSO, as you may know, a small microwave these days is under fifty bucks at walmart.

I wouldn't suggest trying to modify the triac control circuit.

Without a schematic I couldn't begin to advise you on how to do that or to value or the parts that might be bad.

And I truly doubt that the schematic can be found.

I would kind of expect the opto to be bad, and maybe a resistor or two.

They would need to be replaced with the right values and an acceptable opto.

You may get lucky and find that the opto and resistors are all okay.

You can find the triac here. Looks like the GLC16-50 or GLC16-50S would work for you.

That's about all the help anyone can provide you, honestly.

Good luck and be careful!

We're happy to help you with free advice and we'd appreciate your thoughtful rating of our answer.

easy to fix you need to cut the tracks to the led lights then solder 2 wires to the leds next use a 1k resistor on one of the wires then conect it straight to the power surply just after the bridge rectifier noteing+ and -

Hi Redd, You might have better luck posting this under Sharp TVs: http://www.fixya.com/support/sharp/standard_televisions The black lines at the top of the screen are usually an indication of a problem with the vertical output section. It's often bad electrolytic capacitors, the vertical IC, or both. That's apparently not a US model, so it will be hard to find the values but you could contact Sharp Philippines: SHARP (PHILS.) In most cases the displays are protected by a low value resistor which could have burned out. First someone needs to determine if the display is getting the proper voltage. If it is and still does not work you need a display. If it isn't getting any power follow the circuit back to the power supply and you'll probably find an open resistor or micro fuse (which looks like a resistor).
