Question about MSI KT3 Ultra2-R Motherboard

MSI KT3 Ultra2-R Motherboard

I am having a problem with wiring my mother board correctly to the frame's power swithches and LED's. I have different wires for each component: one for the power switch, one for the reset switch, power LED, reset LED, as well as internal speaker. Without these connected properly, I am unable to start my computer. I have tried everything I can think of and it is not working. Also, I do know that my power supply, mother board, and other components are all in working order, it is just those wires where the problem lies.

I am working on a KT3 Ultra CE MS-6380E ver.1 mother board. The original problem was that nothing run after I pushed the power switch. I thought the Power Supply went out so I replaced the power supply but...

Sounds like the board or processor has failed. You will have checked all the power connectors to the board? Usual fix is a new board, rather than trying to find which component on the board has failed.

Hooking up power on a motherboard

They say a picture is worth a thousand words. You say your case connector has 4 holes. Use a pin and push the metail at the back of the connector & slide it out of it's hole. Insert it next to the other wire in the connector hole so they are next to each other. You can now connect it to the motherboard.4f0a03f.jpg
