Installed new column shift mechanism and now my truck has no wipers, heat/ac, stereo, or power windows. I checked all the fuses and wiring connections. Any advice?

You are on the right track- it is a bad connection someplace, or at worst a broken wire in the harness. The other very common problem is a Bad Ground. Sounds more like you are not getting power in rather than a ground. Check the power supply.

Troubleshooting electrical issues is tricky. First things first check all your fuses. that out of the way, I would say wiring issues in the ignition switch circuits, or a faulty ignition switch.

2002 elantra no power to wipers radio head lights and heat

Please check for codes in the OBD system. Check Battery and Charging System. If no codes perform following test procedure.
Tests/Procedures: 1. Check the Black power connector in the under dash fuse box. Wiggle it with the lights on and see if they malfunction.

2. Wiggle the wiring harness from the ignition switch around the steering column with the lights on and see if they malfunction.

3. Monitor the key on battery voltage from the ignition switch at terminal 3, Red wire at the ignition switch to terminal 3 of connector I/P-E in the under dash fuse box.

4. See if the vehicle has any aftermarket accessories installed that may be tapped into that Red wire from the ignition switch to the fuse box.

Potential Causes With OEM Direct diagrams, components, TSBs, and R&R procedures

Output Speed Sensor (OSS)
Power Connector

Installed new wiper motor, delay board, and checked fuses on 98 monte carlo and wipers still dont work. Washer pump no working either unless i jump power to it. I checked wiring to motor and pump. Seems ok

Most likely, you can check the multi-function switch on the steering column, They generally will go out after several years of use. To replace this, you must first remove all steering column covers. Refer to A Haynes Manual if you are unsure of how to proceed with this. After that, you must remove the multi-function switch from the column, it should be secured by one or two bolts, or on some models simply a retaining clip(plastic) that mounts it to the steering column. Replace with an direct OEM replacement, or its equivalent(available at Autozone) and this should take care of the problem. After replacing the relays, fuses, and the motor, the only thing that it can be is the multi-function switch(other than faulty wiring, in which you will need an Ohm meter to detect). Any other questions feel free to ask.

Sounds like you have blown fuses which could have happened if you accidently short circuted something while wiring up the new stereo. Check your fuses to see if any of them are blown.

I have seen multiple trucks with similar fuse blowing problem and have found most are caused by a shorted out overdrive switch or wiring inside the steering column. Usually this is triggered by moving the shifter or something on the column though usually the shifter since thats where the overdrive switch is mounted. If the wiring is the problem after the connector in the column then you have to replace the entire shift lever since the wiring for the overdrive switch is integral to the shift lever.

Power windows turn signal and ac/heat wont work

Had the identical same problems on our Chrysler Concorde. We checked all fuses and relays nothing. Then we checked the wiring on the ignition switch mounted under the steering column it was loose. Repositioned it and everything worked perfectly again. Did not cost a thing. Hope this helps!

If the fuses are ok then check your earth connections. Make sure they are clean and secure. Have you had a test meter on the wiring to these components?
