Based on you description, it sounds like you're not getting any video signal. Check the cables connected to your TV and make sure that there is a signal getting to the TV. Plug the TV into another video source (DVD player, game station, etc) and see if it's just that channel. Troubleshoot by connecting devices to the different inputs.

Compac d-530 won't start red light under power button flashing


Take out the battery and only hook up the AC Adapter. Try turning on your laptop and if you still only get a flashing power button then try another AC Adapter. If the same thing happens then that means the motherboard is bad and would need to be replaced.

Power button failure


  • Power Light Shuts Off
    If the power shuts off during game play (even as much as 30 minutes after the system is turned on), then turns off and won't turn back on or the fan isn't working, the system needs repair.
  • Power Light Flashes
    If the power light flashes once when power button is pressed, then turns off and won't turn back on, the system needs repair
