SOURCE: Need help clearing and programming in new speed dials

I actually found the "Installation Manual" to accomplish this. Switch the button on the top front of the phone to "Program". Then the screen will show a "PITS-PGM NO?" display. Type in "*" then "#" and it will ask you for the "PASSWORD". Type in your 4 digit password, the default one is "1 2 3 4". When you enter it in correctly, it will display "SYS-PGM NO?". This is where you can enter in the "number" associated with the task you are trying to perform. For speed dials, it was 001. For date and time it was 000. Using certain buttons on the phone you then navigate accordingly. Hope this helps!

How do you turn off the in use/memory light?

This of course depends on why the light is on! If you had a fax come in and it is in memory, you will need to print the fax and clear the memory before the light will go out. The LCD Display should be telling you why that light is on.

1. There is a fax or print job in memory waiting to be printed.--> See steps below
2. There is a paper jam --> Open printer - Remove all paper - Close printer - press OK button
3. You are out of ink or the cartridges are low. - Change Cartridges

Need manual

Given that consumer telephones are inexpensive, the cost of repairing the speaker phone on the 960 (assuming you still have it) is probably not worth it.

Going off of my memory....to program a speed dial you would first press "Program", enter the telephone number you want stored and then press the one of the memory buttons to save the number to. If the number is to be saved on a lower memory position press "Lower" before you press the memory button.

AT&T's telephone product website has a section where user manuals for many AT&T and Lucent branded telephones.

http://telephones.att.com/telephones_ui/support/dsp_manuals_list.cfm

The 960 is no longer listed, but the many of the basic functions are similar to the 922.
